A friendly meeting and tour before the heat of battle!
R's Lucario: The palace looks amazing from here!
Riley: Yeah! That first visit we had some years ago was less-than-ideal, the lake was blanketed in fog! It's such a rarity to get a day this clear in the Kingdom.
R's Lucario: Let's go in!
Riley: Wait for me! You know it's a long walk to get there!
R's Lucario: C'mon Master, you can run faster than this!
Riley: Don't spend too much energy before tomorrow's battle!
R's Lucario: Pfft--Like that's gonna make a difference!
R's Lucario: Almost there!
Riley: Wait for me!
N: Ooohhh! Who do we have here? Tomorrow's quarter finals favorite team?
Riley: N! What brings you here today?
R's Lucario: I can see his aura shine with fiery passion!
N: Ahhh, just got a bit bored of the Festival's amusement rides, and just wanting to clear my thoughts before tomorrow. And you, Riley?
Riley: I was just showing Lucario around, the Kingdom has changed a lot since we last visited.
N: I hear that it's not only Cameran that's changed, all of the capital's suburbs have changed too.
Riley: Maybe we could go check that out. It's also a great way to keep the rivalry friendly.
N: We're gonna need it, especially after I win.
Riley: In your dreams, bud! This festival's tournament is full of elite trainers who have won all sorts of high-caliber challenges.
R's Lucario: Do you guys need to fight now? The battle won't happen for a few days at least, and you gotta beat Cynthia first. And it's me who will be doing the actual fighting.
N: I guess your Lucario is right. Let's not waste time and instead visit these places to clear our thoughts.
Riley: How did your first battle go?
N: Against Lance? He was no big deal, he's become more of a showman and seems to lack passion he used to have before.
Riley: How come your zoroark isn't out with us taking part of the fun?
N: Right! I forgot, he didn't like the ferris wheel this time, I think it's time he joins us. Zoroark! Time to join in the fun!
N's Zoroark: Rark!! Zoro-zor?
(Translation: Finally! Where are we?)
N: We're at Aldemar, the city south of Cameran! And, Riley, what seems to be the hot fad of Aldemar?
Riley: The city has been growing a lot and has acquired a modern look, they also have a new railway.
Mew: Niu-niu-niu! Myah-myah!
(Translation: Hee-hee-hee! This'll be fun!)
N: Man, this place looks so different to Cameran! Doesn't feel as ceremonial at least.
R's Lucario: Wasn't there a very special site over here?
Riley: Oh, for sure! But we first have to go across the city to reach it. We might as well enjoy the cityscape on our way there.
N's Zoroark: Zoooorrr, zor-zor-zor!
(Translation: So much people in here!)
R's Lucario: Isn't that the park?
Riley: It is! It also seems like the Queen wanted something like this at the capital itself.
Riley: I can most definitely feel we're approaching that place...
R's Lucario: Where?
Riley: We're not that close yet, we gotta reach the southwest side of the city.
N's Zoroark: Zor-zor, Rark!
(Translation: What's so special there?)
R's Lucario: I don't know, but Riley will tell us when we get there.
Riley: We're here, we're finally here!
N: It's quite the remarkable meadow! Lush and flowery.
R's Lucario: Master, I can feel what's going on! Seems like it's related to this thing...
Riley: Could it be? Is this what's called a time flower?
R's Lucario: It emanates so much aura....I'm sensing lots of things.
N: So what's a time flower
N's Zoroark: Rark-zor?
(Translation: Time flower?)
R's Lucario: Wait guys, I'm having a vision!
Riley: Time flowers are a crystal formation which resonates with the echoes of time. Someone who can tune themselves to their aura can perceive past events which happened in the flower's vicinity.
R's Lucario: You're right! The trees seem younger this way.
N's Zoroark: Rrroark? Zor-zor-zor?
(Translation: Huh? What do you see?)
R's Lucario: I see a campsite....five humans....a big truck, can't quite distinguish it well....but I also see....is that the Lucario of Sir Aaron's legend?
Riley: I can see all of those things! And I also see....wait, is that a bonsly hiding in the flowers?
N: Riley, you're a pro at this!
Riley: I'm still an apprentice, there's still an awful lot more to learn than what we've been doing here.
N: We shouldn't stay here for long, we still gotta visit those villages in the mountains!
Riley: Oh! Do you mean Ingena and Baden? That shouldn't take long.
N's Zoroark: Rrark-ark!!!
(Translation: Let's go!)
Mew: Nyah-niau!
(Translation: Fluffy clouds!)
Mew: Niuu-u-u-u-u-u-u-u!! Nyah-miau!
(Translation: Heheheheee!! They're coming!)
N: Ahhh....fresh mountain air! And this place looks more interesting, too!
Riley: Do you know this place?
N: Of course! I got to visit it some days before you arrived. There's a few historic buildings to marvel at here, and a nifty waterfall.
N's Zoroark: Rrark-zoark! Zoooorrr....
(Translation: For sure! Kinda hungry now...)
N: But you just ate two hours ago! Alright, alright, we'll got get some thing to eat...
N's Zoroark: Zzzz....rrark...
(Translation: Mmmm....yummy...
R's Lucario: Man, he's right!
Riley: But you also ate a short while ago! What's going on with you two?
N: They just won their respective battles today, let them enjoy the spoils of victory.
R's Lucario: Is that the waterfall? It sounds so refreshing...
Riley: Maybe we can get a better view if we go up to Baden Castle. That's the Queen's second residence, she especially loves to retreat there during weekends and autumn.
N: Don't you guys want something to eat? I've got a feeling that the line's getting pretty long!
N's Zoroark: 'Rrark-rark!
(Translation: Food, finally!)
Riley: What do these guys sell here?
N: There's burgers, ramen, fish n' chips, hot dogs, fruit smoothies, 10 kinds of desserts and 20 flavors of soda.
R's Lucario: Do they have candy?
Riley: No more chocolate for you today, mister!
R's Lucario: Coffee?
Riley: No.
R's Lucario: Tea?
Riley: Nuh-uh!
R's Lucario: Uhhh....brownies?
Riley: Negative. Besides, chocolate and caffeine are supposed to be bad for you!
R's Lucario: But I'm a steel-type, nothing's poisonous to me!
Riley: Fine....I'll get you brownies with your burger.
R's Lucario: Yes! Sweet chocolaty victory!
N: Don't worry too much about it, they'll burn half of those calories when we reach Baden Palace.
For about 40 minutes or so they have lunch at this little kiosk, and then continue their touring to reach Baden Palace.
Mew: Miu-miu! Nyu-miu-mew!
(Translation: Ooo! Look at them go!)
N: It's a really nice place! Must have costed a fortune to her ancestors to build this thing here.
Riley: Or a bloodbath. After all, the Kingdom's borders expanded after the Red-Green War. After that event, Rota was no longer confined to its valley, and actually was able to take defensive positions at the foothills and mountain passes surrounding it.
N's Zoroark: Zorororo, zor-zor-zor!
(Translation: The view alone is worth that fortune!)
R's Lucario: Is that Ingena over there?
N's Zoroark: Zor-zor!
(Translation: It is!)
Mew: Miu-miu-nyah!
(Translation: They're gonna move again!)
Another while later, they enter.
N: Would you look at that! It's quite the cute little fort!
Riley: It's like a piece of the past that remains steadfast against growing modernity around it.
R's Lucario: Why is it in middle of the city?
N: I believe this is where the city was governed from when wars were commonplace.
N's Zoroark: Zoro-zor, rrrark-rark? Rark-rark-rark!
( Translation: Could we move here? I really like this place!)
N: We'll see about that, we're kinda far away from home, are you sure you won't miss any of your buddies back in Unova?
N's Zoroark: ...
R's Lucario: It doesn't have to be forever!
N's Zoroark: Rark-zor-zor-rark!
(Translation: And now I like you even more!)
The group bantered and roamed around Ingena until sunset, when they finally decide to go to their hotel at Wellesley. Fortunately for them, the new railways of the Kingdom allow them to travel directly to their lodging location.
Mew: NYAAAH!! Niau-niau!
(Translation: Wooo!! Nighttime!)
Mew: Mew-mew niu-mew nyah-myah miu. Nyah-myah mew-mew mew-miu mew nyah myah niau miau-niau.
(Translation: The Queen calls this a Convention District. All I see is a bunch of fancy towers and too many people and pokémon together.)
Mew: Niu-iuiuiuiuiuiu!
(Translation: Oh, golly, here they come!)
N: The city's new Convention District sure is impressive!
Riley: And I think there's a few more buildings still planned for this area.
R's Lucario: What's that big building for?
Riley: Well that's the convention center itself! It provides huge rooms and halls for people to celebrate big events of all kinds. For some reason they're always super fancy.
N's Zoroark: Zor-zor-zor, ror-rrark!
(Translation: Great place to sneak inside of!)
N: We're here! Wonder why the Festival organizers lodged the competing trainers over at St. Ritzy's, rather than at any of the new fancy hotels.
Riley: Cheaper and much faster to travel from St. Ritzy's to the Festival grounds compared to the hotels at the Conventions District. Man....today's been so fun and tiresome...
N's Zoroark: Rrark-rark, zor-ror!
(Translation: Cushy bed time!)
N: Not so fast! We still gotta review our strategy to beat Cynthia tomorrow.
R's Lucario: Good luck with that, Steven's defeat against her....wasn't pretty at all...
N: How are you feeling about your illusion ability?
N's Zoroark: Rrrr...
(Translation: Uhhh...)
N: Don't tell me the ice cream froze your brain already!
Riley: Make sure to use some of the night for rest, Lucario and I have our next battle pretty early tomorrow if nothing shakes up the schedule.
R's Lucario: Peace at last....gonna dream about those brownies!
