15 Year Update - Arson City
15 years without government, and the biggest news of the last five years are two fires on May 1, Year 50 and Sept. 2, Year 52 that each burned several buildings and were started by an arsonist. There's been continued population drop, education and health drops, and garbage accumulation. In short, further deterioration. Crime has dropped, but that's because there's fewer people around to commit crimes. On a person to person basis, the city has gotten no safer. By now, the wealthier residents, businesses, and industries have nearly all left. Since the government shutdown, education has dropped a full 102 EQ points and life expectancy 27 years. The water pumps were replaced, and some damage to the water lines from the fires were fixed (remember, they DO get power and water).
