Technical Difficulties!

jmsepe: Don't forget the FA lines too! Cindersville is probably the trickiest build so far as I throw in grid-busting and slope building. I also had to wait a year to start it up again since there was not anything suitable to complete the FA areas- then came Mattb325's FA buildings and I also realised C.P. had snuck in some FA buildings in his Christmas 2015 releases.

rivit: Thanks for the link, but it ain't a critical issue. So I wait once the contents of the file you offered are on the latest NAM.

Tyberius06: Thanks! It's Mattb325's new FA buildings which keep things fresh. Thankfully I have a really organised datpacked plugin method to update files and ensure I have the latest with plugins.

elavery: Wait until I've MMPed the countryside- completing the city is one half of the task. The next half is MMPing the countryside and sprucing it up.

jcgpianoman: Read my message, also it takes practice. It has taken me 4 and a half years of CJing to get to the level where I'm at now. It really does take practice.

_Michael: Cindersville is Erinsberg 2.0- but with vastly more grid-busting, FA work and greater use of building on slopes.

Technical Difficulties- Please stand by!!!

Today my Power Source Unit on my baseunit decided to conk out which caused the circuit-breaker to trip in my house's fusebox. Hopefully it's just the PSU that went and hopefully there was no damage to the motherboard or the hard-drive. I'm getting it checked this Sunday and if it's just a PSU that needs to be replaced that should take several days. If the motherboard got fried too then -- when factoring in buying a new baseunit -- it could be up to two weeks until I'm back.

In either case the hard-drive should be fine and any files, any cities and any pictures can be recovered.

In the mean time, here are some pictures to keep you entertained because for the next several days I'm going to be out of the SC4 scene! Chances are you've seen some of these pictures on the Show Us What You're Working On post. Some you haven't though.

UPDATE (24/02/2019):

The issue has been resolved. The PSU had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. Thankfully the PSU was the only component which failed, my motherboard and harddrive are all intact. Which means a new entry this evening!

The diagonal/orthgonal low/medium density transition.

Because most of Cindersville is built in the lowlands of the valleys, then the CBD is squashed in and thus the transition from city centre to suburbs is more pronounced.

There are only three skyscrapers in Cindersville and about a dozen or so tower blocks.

In Cindersville I've been working on my slope-building technique and it takes a while -- giving the slope mod -- but what is produced... Just love the slope angles and how they partially conceal what's below.

Mattb325 has relotted Reddonquixote's BATs into W2W Lots. Very impressive! They also combine well with Aarsgevogelte's BATs.

Anyway- see you soon!

I have enough content for about 15 entries, but it requires going to the city tiles and taking new pictures. But since my PSU is fried...

Fingers crossed.

I went down to my local PC World and the technician used a new PSU and my machine is working fine. The old PSU conked out and thankfully applied the fuse to stop a power surge going through the rest of my base unit. I'm back up and running. This evening I'll be posting a new CJ entry!
