Good to see it's alive and well, takes a lot of effort to maintain and continue a CJ. Neat railroad there snaking around the hillside

After you first posted this railway I had to look it up - wow! I couldn't find any pictures that didn't show a sharp curve in the line, even in the towns! What a fun prototype road. And a delightful layout with the old half-timber BATs.

Great challange, mountanious terrain no sharpe curves; rail laying has some curve restrictions, 2d height differneces make wider curves more durable, sc4 terraforming is a real pain working with as making reasonable slopes is a nightmare not allowing or not looking nice, at this scale 3d single track rail looks more neat as it is in the real world . Timbered Bat´s where mostly a replacement because  the growable Bat´s Lot´s didn´t materalized in this tile !

Indeed, as soon as slope is involved all bets are off...

I'm curious, which growables didn't work?

Residential growable´s ! Commercial and indusrie working fine. Growable residential´s I have those walibuk slovak houses and some more modern tsjech; this wouldn´t be close to traditional swiss houses or alpine. So for this setting not ideal. Except for one french chalet, and Bern w2w set, and a handfull of swiss farms, barn´s there´s not yet any alpine like housing set available yet !

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt
