Beginning
Hello! This is my very first CJ (and first entry) so I guess I should get things started. Something to point out, though, is that I have a lot of schoolwork going on so entries may not be frequent.
In the 2050s Ontario saw a giant boom in industry and people and needed somewhere to put them, right? Okay. Canada decided on an enclave on the Great Slave Lake in NWT. The result: Aspen County (I know Canada doesn't have counties, but I hate the term "administrative region"). For the continuation of the CJ, I will be developing different towns and cities in the county. So, with no further ado, some pictures to get the ball rolling!
This is McDonald Island, a private workers community for CHAWS (Canada Hydro And Wind Association), the company that owns the giant hydroelectric plant upriver.
This is a picture not of the truck, but of the tightly-packed "metropolis" in the distance otherwise known as South Aspen, which will be one of the main focuses in the upcoming entries.
And finally, a photo of downtown residential South Aspen, as seen from some scaffolding of the new CHAWS management office (currently under construction).
See you next time!
