Hi everybody, today I’m gonna introduce the city of Philipstown.

Now a few explanations about the situation in 1855 about the Islands.

The Island where is located Krongans, the “South” Island, belongs to England, but the “North” Island, belongs to the USA.

Here it is:

At the beginning of the exploitation of the Falklands during the first decade of the 19th century, only the South Island was really belonging to the Crown of England.

The North Island wasn't really interesting the Crown, until the American established a city, Philipstown -from Georges Philips who founded the city-, and discovered a lot of mining resources.

Then, it became a race, of who will grow the fastest on the Islands, and will gain the more influential position. Quickly, in about 10/15 years, Philipstown reached about 17,300 inhabitants (current population during this post in 1855), and had few National mining sites (they were nationalised to ensure their productivity).

Krongans was only the industrial city, the stop-by place on the way to America for all migrants from Europe, but not a new place to live. A temporary (as they wanted so, at least) place for the migrants to earn the few money they needed to finish the trip to the opportunity land.

But, after 15 years of incredible growth, the Philipstown utopy starts to slow down. It appears that in fact, there isn't so many resources in the mountains, and the mining exploitations have to move away in new unexploited moutains.

Due to a complicated relief in the Islands, the American government will progressively give up on the North Island and the Falklands, leaving Philipstown helpless, without any assistance.

But the continuation of the Falklands' history will come in the next post.
