You guys are awesome – thanks so much for taking the time to comment!

Ying Blanc: OH SNAP!!!! That is possibly the best SC4 picture I have ever seen (edited) sorry everybody else x3 It's just pure.....MAGIC!!! Figuratively AND literally

Thank you – I am getting a little more comfortable with photoshop, and although SC4 isn’t a true 3D game, we can still tweak it a bit and pretend :)

scott1964: nice, how did you get that great shot.

Basically I stitched together over 10 tiles that I took a full zoom 1 pic (all from the same viewing angle). That was the hard part – but once I had the huge mosaic in photoshop, I was able to use the ‘transform à Perspective’ tool to give it that look.

dubaidude303: Sorry I haven't commented on your CJ's in awhile :( .. Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!! That is epic! Totally awesome!

Thank you so much, and glad to see you stop back in.

NMUSpidey: Hot air balloons? Also, I'll have to check my schedule, but I might be able to clear some room to help out. I'm good, though, and that don't come cheap :D

Good help never is. Send me your resume and salary (in simoleons) and we’ll set up an interview.

Vlasky: Hopefully I can finish some more in time for you to use. :) Amazing picture. Great job, you kicked ass once more

I’m looking forward to it – the art deco buildings you and the NYBT are showing off this month are truly amazing. 1920’s here I come :).

Benedict: Great census and teaser. And congratulations, you're back at number one on Ben's Top Ten!

That’s awesome news again – thanks for all the comments folks!

Huston: And you tell me I'm a great photoshopper? :P I can't even do that myself, like seriously. Great photoshopping. That photo looks really convincing, as if it were a real aerial shot :D

Well thank you – I appreciate that coming from a photoshop guru. But really, I just used some basic tools and a lot of patience. :)

Thanks everybody – it really means a lot to hear such kind comments!

Infamousjbe: The augmented image of the landscape with the clouds is absolutely stunning!! Bravo

Thanks! The census allows me to catch up the entire region and it’s fun to see how things look from a regional perspective.

dubaidude303: I love those pictures with the clouds!! They looks so real!!! Amazing work again! :)

Thanks! You wouldn’t believe how many images come up when you do a google image search for ‘clouds’ :)

Fox: Another great update.. love the unique perspective of that third picture.. awesome.

Good to see my little Foxton is still growing healthily and I can imagine that a centuries time, it's going to be an exclusive outer suburb of New SorGun.. start planning that freeway/highway now my friend !

But I can’t plan for freeways (as much as would like to)… the internal combustion engine is still in it’s infancy. That would be cheating :)

NMUSpidey: 10 more years! 10 more years!

Sounds like a political rally… which reminds me….

Gugu3: What an amazing update/sum up :) love your CJ!!!Keep it up! Cheers, Guglielmo

Thank you for the kind compliment!

slickbg56: Gosh this is great. From the first shot to the last, this is all awesome. I like the new photoshop touches.

Thanks for stopping by – photoshop is starting to grow on me, but I still want to keep most of my pictures free from editing simply because the in-game pictures look great as-is.

Hellken: The camera angle in the 3rd shot is sublime. That was a nice use of Photoshop.

Thanks – it actually turned out better than what I was picturing in my head.

DustyLee23: Incredible work!! I love the animation pictures, very unique.

Thank you – I’ve been experimenting with some trial .gif software and I like how they turn out. You will probably see more .gif animations in the future.

Benedict: Great conclusion to the census, and the edited region shots are really nicely done. And to top it all, you're number one on BTT again this week.

Wow, thank you – and thanks to everybody for all the great comments!

LastTrueChamp: Wow! Great to see this CJ going strong and long. Definitely one of the All-TIme Greats.

I’m glad to see you back around these parts – thanks for stopping by.

dljrfn2000: Ok first, this is usually not my thing I do enjoy seeing the game played as the game.... but this is an incredible work, the story telling was mesmorising and realistic the region was immaculately created from every side, I mean one of- if not the best I've seen in a long time. I'm currious though if you are interested in continuing this? How does the region develope in the throngs of the industrial revolution? How does the early 1900's and the onset of World War 1 and 2 change the town, does it grow into a city in the 20's and 30's how does the Post War 50's effect the region into the modern era? I'd actually be captivated by a continuing of this CJ as far as you're willing to take it.

Thanks for the great comment! My plan is to see this region develop up to the current time period – of course, the best laid plans… But I definitely want to keep working the development of the region through the different historical eras. Stay tuned to find out how far I can make it :)

Lost Realist: I've been wondering how far you'd take it as well and whether you'd continue the history or maybe even just come back with some stories from the modern-day New SorGun after all this. What you've created here is just wonderful and I admire all the hard work and patience that your CJ shows off.

First, thank you for the kind compliments. Like I mentioned above, I plan to work the region up through the different historical time periods. For one, it is fun to go out and find BAT’s that ‘fit’ into each era. And second, I am curious if I can make the different towns in the region look like they actually belong in their respective time period.

Next up...

Lee Shao's story was astounding, but not unique. He and thousands of his countrymen had made the arduous journey from small villages and towns around China to a continent on the other side of the world. Like all pioneers, they were seeking a new, better life for themselves and their children. Lee managed to get a job working on the Northern Pacific Railroad, and by 1882 he had a small house in Steamer Bay, along with hundreds of fellow Asian immigrants. In fact, Steamer Bay, along with many other pacific coast towns and cities were in the midst of a wave of Chinese immigration that had begun over two decades earlier. How will Steamer Bay be affected by the many changes swirling around the SorGun region? Tune in next time!
