Best of the Best! - Weekly Edition

have you been the only one voting the last few weeks, or am I not understanding the process?

And I have three updates this week. does that change anything?

Lol, just a suggestion since outside submissions seem a little slow and low, but you should try changing your method to something you could co-ordinate yourself? It seems more ideal than basing your weekly list on outside submissions considering the lacking amount of input made by viewers.

@Huston - I do coordinate this myself, and it's not totally based on outside submissions. Essentially, other people can nominate other people's entries, or their own entry (along with someone else's for that same category), and then I consider those nominations when selecting the winners.

Like Benedict uses a formula for BTT, I use a formula as well for choosing the winners, although it's not a mathematical forumla. Think of it more like secret ingredients to a recipe :)

So basically, when no one else nominates each week, and they usually don't, the show still goes on because I still have a right to get to nominate people myself. And I had to come up with some kind of 'secret ingredients' in order to preserve the quality and accomplishment of the entries that actually win, because when this first started, people would nominate entries that frankly were not that spectacular...I accepted the nominations and those entries won, but eventually I had to make it more exclusive

@whiteboybob - at the end of each week i go through and look at all of the cj entries for that week, and i look for the best images that fit into any of the 26 above categories. if people have more than one update in a week, i may only see the most recent one because of how the ST journal sorting is set up...i do not take extra time to explore everyone's CJs to see if there was more than one entry that week, unless I already know ahead of time because i saw them earlier in the week, or like because you just told me. :thumb:

I'm always glad to see that Nature or Agricultural settings get nice response and recognition :-)

Ah, okay spurs, just checking :P I forgot to say that it's nice to see my city journal there, infact, nice to be on it a couple of times that past few weeks ;)
