Every creature is better alive than dead, men and moose and pine trees, and he who understands it aright will rather preserve its life than destroy it.

Let me celebrate the second place by showing an upgraded version of Respect-8, the only so far colony with a huge biodome.

Respect-8 has a large biodome surrounded by a small industrial ring. In the outside we'll find some small settlements and farms.

This is the small nuclear power plant.

Sims here need water and this is the hydrological facility of Respect-8.

All unnecessary items are gathering here for recycling, upgrading and repairing. No trash on Mars.

You can visit the colony by the roads and the speedway...

... or by airplane.

Now it's time to explore the biodome, with plenty of trees and animals in the low gravity of Mars.

You can visit the biodome from the 4 entrances or by the subway.

Now that you are inside the biodome, take out your spacesuit and take a deep breath. You can finally see trees and deer, listen to the birds and walk on the grass.

Just outside of the biodome, we'll find industries and some shops.

In the south-west of the colony we'll find a small rural settlement, with homes and farms.

In the north-east of the colony, a small colony ship from Earth has landed and a small settlement established. Mars belong to every Sim and there are no nations, wars, nationalism and borders here in the red planet. Mars is everybody's home, a world based on science and understating.

Mars is the new Eden, where technology and philosophy ascent the Simkind. Intelligence born on Earth, but evolved on Mars.

Mars however is still a dangerous world, without oxygen and water. Martian geysers becomes more and more common here in the mayor colonies, without putting them in danger.

There are still some "loonies" who like planting trees on Mars. In domes of course...

But Mars is truly belong to the SimMartians? There are many buildings made by an ancient civilization, about a million years old. However in the south-east of Respect-8, there is a strange formation of stones called Marshenge. Marshenge made about 100 years ago, and probably not naturally. Is there an intelligent specie lurking around the Martian deserts? The orbital scanners and air droids didn't find them yet, if they still exist. What will happen if/when the modern SimMartians will meed the Ancient Martians?

Hello my friends and welcome to a new feature, with crazy pictures, errors and epic failures. Who said that a mayor diary should be perfect? ![]()
O.K., so what is the very first thing you'll have in your mind when you hear "Mars"? A colony? A cold desert? No, it's a rural geothermal power plant! Very common here in Mars ![]()

Even more common are the rural water pumps. Now this is something that's very rare on Earth ![]()

Ah, camping on Mars. But wait a minute, some of them are missing in the night. Oh no, it's the invasion of the alien tent thiefs! ![]()

Kumbaya!
