here are some ideas for the next BATs..these are pictures and details of some of the jakarta and indonesian landmarks and buildings..

1. The Monumen Nasional (or Tugu Monas, the National Monument tower) is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's Independence. Its construction began in 1961 under Sukarno and was not finished until 1975 under Suharto. It is topped by a 14.5 tonnes flame-shaped bronze plated in 35 kg (1,125 troy ounces) of gold. The Monas tower located in the center of Silang Monas Park in the heart of Jakarta. North of the park is the Presidential Palace, East is the Gambir train Station, West is the National Museum. This park was named the largest city park in the world at the dutch colonization time (i think now is still considered one of them)

>3.gif>lace>lacename>2. Welcome3.giflacename> lacetype>Monument3.giflacetype>3.giflace>

Tugu Selamat Datang is a monument that welcoming everybody who visits lace>Jakarta3.giflace>. It is also known as lace>lacename>Welcome3.giflacename> lacetype>Monument3.giflacetype>3.giflace>. It is placed in the middle of the HI (hotel Indonesia) fountain roundbout. The monument features a boy and a girl waving hands for the tourist that come to Jakarta. The girl also has a bouquet of flower in her other hand.

It is a place that well-known by tourist (even though u can't walk there)

There are 4 International Hotels in Bunderan H.I

They are: Mandarin Oriental, Hotel Nikko, Grand Hyatt Jakarta and Grand Indonesia Fullerton

There are 3 Shopping Center: Plaza lace>Indonesia3.giflace> (under Hyatt), EX (Plaza Indonesia Extension) and Grand Indonesia

3. Wisma 46 is a 262 m tall skyscraper located in the Kota BNI complex in South Jakarta, Indonesia. The 48 storey office tower was completed in 1996 under the design by Zeidler Roberts Partnership and DP Architects Private Ltd. The tower is located on a 15 ha lot in the downtown city. It has a floor area of 140,028 m². The tower contains 23 elevators which can reach speeds of 360 mpm in the super high speed models. Wisma 46 is the 99th tallest existing building in the world when measured up to the highest architectural point which is the spire. It is also the second tallest building in the southern hemisphere. When measured up to the roof, the tower is 228 m tall and when measured up to the lower roof, it is only 200 m tall. The tower is a cuboid concrete tower rising 200 m before a sleek glass tower rises out of it before culminating in a curved spire. The glass tower is comprised of a total glass exterior unlike the tower it rises from which has a concrete exterior with square windows. This pattern of square windows is disturbed three times by long rectangular windows. The building's design is described as modern and late-modernist. The tower has 48 floors above ground which consist of offices only. There are 2 underground floors which are used a car park.>3.gif>

4. Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (formerly known as Istora or Gelora Senayan) is a multi-use stadium in Senayan, South Jakarta, Indonesia. It is one of the largest stadiums in the world and also the largest in south east Asia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was built in 1962 and is able to hold 100,000 people. The stadium is currently being rebuilt for the Asian Cup as lace>Indonesia3.giflace> will be one of the many nations to host the competition. The Gelora Bung Karno has never been renovated since it was first built in 1962. The stadium is registered as a 100,000 capacity stadium, but in the semifinal clash between south east asia rivals lace>Indonesia3.giflace> and lace>Malaysia3.giflace> in the Tiger Cup competition in December 2004, the stadium's attendance is well over 120,000. The stadium is named after Sukarno, Indonesia's first President.>3.gif>

5. Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. The government of lace>Indonesia3.giflace> constructed the national mosque in 1984. More than 120,000 people can congregate at the mosque at one time. The rectangular main prayer hall building is covered by a 45 meter diameter central spherical dome. The dome is supported by twelve round columns and the prayer hall lined by rectangular piers carrying four levels of balcony. Staircases at the corners of the building give access to all floors. The main hall is reached through an entrance covered by a dome 10 meters in diameter. The latter structure is directly connected to the arcades which run around the large courtyard. The mosque also provides facilities for social and cultural activities, including lectures, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, bazaars and programmes for women, youth and children.

rpagejr-I like that Idea...maybe it would be cool if someone would just make custom universities. I would like someone to make my old university, Stephen F Austin State University.......but I don't think anyone will commit that much work to one BAT. Would be nice to have a realistic college with more dorms.

Could I get more Dallas type buildings?

I looked around but couldn't find anything on the new Berliner Hauptbahnhof.

IMHO it's a beatiful landmark that would be an asset for SC4-cities.

For those interested in more details of this splendid station, cf http://www.db.de/site/shared/en/file__attachements/publications__broschures/berlin__hauptbahnhof.pdf

Anybody feels up to it?

Well well, almost 90 pages worth of request, feel I'll just get lost in the mess, but Why not try? Well, first off I should mention I AM a Mac user, and as such while I am full of ideas and sketches and concepts, it is none the less a tad difficult to actually bring anything to fruition. The two idea's I worked on most are items of mine I have thought about in various forms for a while now. The first is a large "Town Square" type park, good for Big Cities or as the center of a small community. I laid it out so it should be easy for someone to put together the various parts of it since all it needs is simple props. Town_square.jpg Second is the Tower to End all Towers. A massive monument of my design that actually came about as an

It'd be awesome to see the 'Citadel' from Half Life 2.

The function of this bohemeth was not only to house administators but acted as a factory that produced countless Combine equipment.

However for SC4 it could act as an expensive police tower with an adequate number of cop cars and helicopters.

Maybe even some models of their Razor Trains???

I would be extremely happy if someone put the time in to produce the Ford Rouge Plant, from Dearborn Michigan. The Rouge Plant used to be the largest industrial complex in the world, and employed 75,000 people (if it were that big in the game it would probably cause problems)/ That's why I don't feel like I can create something satisfactory by stringing together 5x5 lots or something.

I'd like to have an industrial city on the scale of Gary, Indiana, but I need some huge, functional, industrial lots to it with. If there is something like that on STEX already, please let me know. I searched for a while and didn't find anything. Below is an article from the Detroit News with a good picture of the Rouge Plant.

Thanks!

How about some race tracks? Indianapolis, Daytona, anything. Even if it is just a little race track.

I already requested it, but know I know how to get a pick on here. Lucas Oil Stadium is not complete yet (Aug 08), but it looks like a really neat stadium. It has a retractable roof, so if you felt like a good challenge, you could make it with the roof open so you could see the inside.

Ooooh! Pretty! What game are those lovely colorful buildings from?

Request: Has anyone ever made a the Wonka Chocolate Factory? If not maybe someone could try to make one and if possible make two versions of it. One from (the movies) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder) and Charlie and the Chocolate factory (Johnny Depp).

st louis dude: it sucks, but do you think that BATters have the time to make them. Also BATters are free to choose what they want to make not what you want to make.

What I think is still missing is a really authentic suburban school set, one with parking lots, playgrounds, and no more than two floors at its tallest. Creative designs, as opposed to boxy ones, are all the rage in new school buildings. Also, any suburban school is generally a sprawling building: much more flat than high. And no matter what kind of school, there should definitely be a gym/fieldhouse.

There are so many requests and so few willing to attempt modeling...you really want soemthing that bad, check the Omnibus for tutorials on the how to's...

34.gifPersonally, I'd keep complaining and asking for every buliding in every major American city and people will put their lives on hold so you can be happy.
