A bat that I would love for someone to build is a city hall for rural towns and farming communities.  Everything now available is just too big and pretentious for a small community.  I've looked everywhere (Well, almost everywhere) both here and on other sites without finding anything appropriate.10.gif

Firstly, I bow to the talented Bat modellers whose work I have admired and downloaded with some frequency. The stuff you guys & gals come up with are works of art.

I downloaded Gmax and after 5 hours of clueless tinkering, my brain hurt and i'd just about managed to get as far as a representation of a wall with a row of windows. I also tried to get the BAT but the simcity site wouldn't send me an activation email..but that's another issue..sorry to drone on.

Anyone out there interested in having a go at Stockport Pyramid?? I can supply more detailed photos if anyone wants them.

It would be terrific if someone would do the Bellsouth Tower here in my hometown of Nashville.  it is an icon to all locals and to those who visit here.  The tower is the sole home of theBellsouth Corporation in the midstate region.  Here are some pictures for reference.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Its the building that looks like Batman.

I wish someone could make Mumbai's Grand Central Station ( known as Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus)

bombay05.jpg
This is a 1905 painting of it.44.gif

The Building is a identical on the other two sides that can not be seen. The 1905 painting is the best view of the station I found, so please make a BAT similar to that.

POWERELINES.

I have requested in Jeronijs CJ Simtropia if any one of you batters out there are able to make powerlines that can be placed in acre and not loose the lines as we see now.
Here is one with cows (sorry it's small sized)

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//powerline%20and%20cows.jpg align=baseline>

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//powerline%20in%20field.jpg align=baseline>
And one in a field with corn (and alien visitors, but that's beside the point)

We all have seen these powerlines and with the current popularity of rural areas it is a welcome and realistic addition.

Here's a thought...

There are a few Washington, DC area residents playing around here at Simtropolis, so maybe when one of you batters have some free time, make a metro train staion.

My personal fav: Prince George's Plaza Station

I'd love a Mega Mall like the Mall of America here in the TWin Cities, complete with bus stop and GLR station functionality.

I had a thought, since we have quite a few Wal-Mart BATs on ST now..could someone make a Wal-Mart tractor and trailor? Just like you see on the interstates?

Then of course, the Distribution Centers that keep your local WMs supplied with goods at the Always Low Price!

Just a thought.

Few Ideas for someone to maybe pick up on and post on STEX:

  • Seaplane Dock (acts as a small airport... is it possible to even make seaplanes/airport on water?)

  • Waterfront Homes (Much like PEG's Industrial Docks, only R$$$ with small boat launches, docks, boathouses. Maybe even docked houseboats? Also, could someone make a realistic covered marina? Like a 4x4 lot?)

Any of these would be greatly appriciated, thanks, you guys who do this rock!

I too would like to see Lincoln cathederal modded as I work in the bailgate area of Lincoln where the cathederal is and see it from my office window everyday. You can see this landmark from miles around as is on top of Steep hill. The castle too would be a great addition as the castle wall is just 50m from me!!!

I would like to see more houses like these:

4578382.jpg

.GIF image

The first being narrow detached houses on half-sized lots (so the lot would have two of the houses) and the second being semi-detached or twin (yes, the picture is from All in the Family). Don Miguel made one of the latter type (in fact it was four-family, like what I live in), and I think it would be interesting to have some more outer-urban/inner-suburban type buildings like you find in the outerboroughs of NYC and the cities in Jersey (Trenton, Paterson, etc.)

I'd like to see another modd to the highway/motorway system. I love dug-up roads and underpasses like this:

04.jpg border=1 height=80 width=80

19.jpg border=1 height=80 width=80

And it has to be functional for U-driveit vehicles to go through too.

I am going to make this request in a new post as well.  Does anyone really go thru 59 pages of a thread?  I read a science fiction novel my Michael Moorcock about twenty years ago, which was based in an parallel earth where the dirigible never lost use as a popular means of transportation.  There is such a wealth of talent at Simtropolis, that I would like to request a mod similar to the canals, that will allow simcity players to add dirigible docks to their cities ( like the Empire State Building was supposed to function ).  It would be beautiful to see a ship like the Hindenburg sail into my cities.  I think that this would add a whimsical (yet practical) touch to the game.

<ahttp://www.kcadc.com/images_projects/photos/DowntownBuildings.jpg width=187 align=baseline>    Well, I dont have a specific request, but more of a new insperational area.  Kansas City, Missouri has one of the Midwest's best (if not the most active) downtown skylines.  The buildings seen here are One Kansas City Place (the big blue one), and Kansas Citys TransAmerica Building, THe greenish one on the left.  Also, you might have heard of it from the Sky Walk incident during its opening in the 80's, The Hyatt Regency Hotel.  It is inbetween the Plaza and Downtown.  Several other cool buildings to check out are Bartle Hall and look at Kansas Citys St. Lukes hospital in the Northland. Which is actually a rather small hospital, but use your imagnation and make it bigger.  Just a few Ideas. src= width=640 border=0>

A quick Edit.  That circly thing at the top is a resturant and it spins.  It is very cool but the food its ok.  Just a sidenote.

Anyone want to start on these or do it for a challenge?
Building specs are on the links, along with photos and stuff.

(I know this building is in the game, but it's so out of proportion and too short in the game.)
