Poll: Which Simtropolis is the Best

I'm gonna take a "wait and see" attitude before I form any opinions. There's still a lot left to be polished on 5.0, so comparing to the older versions already is just kinda silly.

I confess that I voted 4 a few days ago - but 5 is catching up rapidly - maybe a few wrinkles left to iron out (Dirks words not mine lol ) but its looking better every day - way to go Dirk !!!!

i liked 3.0 the best. The site just seemed more "welcoming" back then.

Also does anyone remember the sidebar on the right? Remember it had the amount of members registered, and latest posts. I really missed that, and was suprised it din't come back in 4.0, or even 5.0. I also prefered the layout of the old forum with the emotions at the bottom of the post screen, html support, PNG support, and the information to the left of users posts. I like the idea of having both custom and normal labels showing to the left, but it looks more "cluttered" there for some reason, even though we lose the member/moderator/administrator text.

We also lose the rich text editor.

However, I do like ST 5.0 a lot, and once I get used to it, I will like it more than ST 4.0 and maybe 3.0.

As ST 5 is not yet complete, I look forward to what the future will bring. Sorry about the long post.

I voted 4.0. I liked its light color theme a lot. But 5.0 has some great new features. It'll take some time to get used to everything but I'm sure it'll be great .

Anyways, I voted 4.0 even though I like 5.0 (and it's also in my sig.), but it's just that this new version takes sometime to get use to. Once I get, I'll vote for 5.0.

I voted for 5.0.  As with everything new most people want to stay with what they know and are comfortable with.  Wait 6 months and run this poll again and most of the votes will be for 5.0.

OK. I vote 4.0 simply because it looked really cool and it was what was here when I first registered as grobulous.

I dislike the color scheme of 5.0 and I don't care much for the new forum system.

Back during st 3.0, i was registered as a different user but never saw the forums. I was here mostly for the custom stuff. I think I liked version 3.0, but I can't really remember it.

This is the way, look and feel, of many newer forums lately and updated ones.

EDIT: I am finding it difficult to get an image within the body text though.

i only visited this site a few times when it was 3.0(i didnt have RH yet so i didnt play sc much), but i loved the color scheme. i think if someone could port that color scheme and add it on as a color scheme choice we'd be all set here
