Looks great - it is indeed very industrial. I see this city tile is almost complete.

Swamped under work here, so no time to play SC4 and to relax... Oh well. Hence, no update again. 15.gif

I got a new graphics card, tried playing Oblivion, but it kept on crashing... so meh. Haven't tried SC4 here... yet. 3.gif

Yay! You're back!

The last update was fantastic!

I love the way you set it up, plan it out and build!

Nice photos, as always!

Glad you had a good time on vacation, but it's sad you had no time for golf...

I'm looking forward to more updates!

Bruinen Fjord.. That sounds familiar to a Tolkien fan.. But then again, the name 'Anduin Valley' should've pointed that out to me in the first place..

I don't stop by often enough to be honest and I must say I'm regretting it.. Having looked through the past few pages, it's absolutely clear why your CJ has made it to 112 pages.. Absolutely amazing, man!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to study these pictures to learn some stuff.. 2.gif

Back on track! indeed!

Hi John. Good to see you back from holidays.

Very nice update. I really like the "Red Eye" shot.

Neat details like the vehicles waiting for the train to cross with their headlights glowing. It's just a cool shot.

Looking forward to more.

Phil

Wow. Glad to see Brujnen Fjord after weeks of waiting. May I suggest a name for your next town: Cody Creek.

...and hobbits, John.  You need some hobbits.

...and elves...they'd really bump up the need for archery ranges and such.

...

Anyway, I see the leaves are turning in Bruinen Ford.  It was 50, windy and rainy in south-central Alaska today.  Fall is pretty much on us here and I couldn't get the autumn leaves pics from your last update out of my head.  When you're a fan, AVR is never further away than your thoughts, I guess.

And I'm a fan.

HE'S BACK!!

Great anew update. Wow lotza Industry. Very nice lay out. You are a master of lay out. I do not have that eye as you have my cities keep on clogging and getting too crowded, but yours look so balanced. It is great to see how HT and dirty are mixed. What is the long term effect? Do you see abandonment of HT in the far future? As far as I can judge there might be a serious airpollution problem in the middle of the industrial area as seen in picture 06. Maybe you can skip back to  Bruinen Fjord to check or is it too early to tell?

Is that Jeronij's underpass in picture 05? I thought he only made it for streets but that is a road. Am I mistaken?

Wonderfull night pics!

Pim is alright by now. He said he wanted to be better by Friday so he could eat croissants on Saturday and Sunday (we always have fresh croissants on Sunday morning breakfast). He loves those croissants with strawberry jam. So he did. He is getting an attitude again ha, ha, ha. We tried pizza yesterdays. But it was not appreciated. He only wanted to eat the crusts. But then again if he can eat those crusts again his throat is getting much better.

Have a great time on your guitar and I will be watching out for those sparse (hopefully not too sparse) updates.

Nik-Nik

    Super Demand Ordinance by Buggi

    Japanese walls

    zzavintrojune2006down7vf.jpg

    Sorchin – Developping Macedon

    Hi Steve,

Don't forget that those pics are several months old, I'm just preparing the updates, in fact I haven't played SC4 in a month now.... at time like these I"m glad I have a huge reserve of pictures!

    Thanks for your constant support.

    Take care

Szarkoz - The Free Democratic Nation of Caledonia

Hi Szarkoz, well that was only a small industrial sector, IMO Emyn Arnen would be (to date) the industrial center of AV, I agree about the repetitiveness of the industrial buildings, let's see what we can do there...

Glad to be back, and even if the update pace shall slow down a bit, I'll continue to it as regularly as I can.

    Take care!

    Jacky (jacqulina) - Paradise Falls

Hi Lassie, everything's fine my friend, and the vacations are never long enough don't you thik? I would take twice as much and would not complain... hehehe, but one has to earn a living!

Take care and see you soon!

    Cityhawk - Montrose

Hey Cityhawk, I'm on your side about the hospital issue, IMO you can never have too much hospitals.

Health is the backbone of a city!

    Take care

Rooker1 - Xania a tour of my world

Hi Rooker, I know the drill (BBQ wise) I'm also the grill watcher here!

Thanks for your support my friend see you soon!

    Take care

    Phil (PhilsCafe) - Acorn Creek

    Bonjour Phil,

Glad to see you've updated Acorn Creek! And permit me to be a bit jealous of you for your vacation on "La Côte d'Azur" one of my uncle told me that one of his favorite place in the world (he traveled a lot) was St-Paul-deVence.

I wish that one day I could visit it!

J'étais en Ontario (dans la région de Toronto) pour une semaine, et nous avons aussi eu une vague de chaleur, il était pratiquement impossible de rester dehors toute la journée!

PEG alleys are some of the lots that we tend to underuse IMO, and they are the kind of details that can really make a difference. And yes I also like trains, I'd like to find a mod that can icrease the rail traffic, cause sometimes I find it difficult to wait to see a train before taking a picture! As for the guitar it's been a long time since I've played, and everytime I'm listening to Clapton or Neil Young or David Gilmour I just feel an itch in my fingers... so I've decided to take the bull by the horns and do it again!

Always good to read you Phil,

    Take care

    John

    Anubis - anubis' cities

Hey Anubis, thanks for your comments.

David (dedgren) - Three Rivers Region

David, good to hear from you.

Yep we're all back (at least the last time I coun't us up...) and we had a great time, though it was H-O-T (perhaps not as hot as in Texas though..) but we northerners do not support those heat waves as easily as those who live west of the Pecos. But then again you being in Alaska, perhaps you have the same problem as we do!

Hehehe, I don't know about another 100 pages, let's take this one page at a time and see where it'll lead us.

And on that particular matter, I'm sure that 3RR will surely reach the hunderd milestone before I'll approach the 200 one. As for the guitar, it's a long and sad story, I should have persevered instead of putting it (the guitar) in a closet, and right now, the same way I've decided to go through with completing a full map of SimCity, I've decided to go through with my guitar learning (or should I say "relearning"), just for the sake of discipline, wich I'm lacking completely.

See you in 3 Rivers David

    Take care

    John

    Threestooges – Matt

    Hi Matt,

Well, I've done it this way to avoid at least one railroad crossing, but you have me thinking here.... at that time Chris (Dragon Anime) eyecandy underpass pieces were not released yet, maybe.... hummm....

    Does this looks better?

    3stoogecorrectedpical1.jpg

Do I use some mod for the demand, yes I do it's the Super demand Ordinance by Buggi, see the links section

The long trains are not of my doing! at least not knowingly! sometimes they're long and sometimes really short!

Good to read you my friend, see you soon!

    Van1357

Hi Van, well as I've said to David for the guitar, it's a long story, I really should not have stopped playing.... but I guess that all is not lost, I'll persevere!

Congrats on your 400th post, and I'm glad you chose to do it here!

    Take care

Luker01 - San Lucas: My first CJ

    Hey Luke,

No those are not Jeroni's walls, they are japaneese walls that you can find on a japanese site, see links section.

    Take care

    Collgab - Atlantaes

Hi collgab, thanks, and here's more!

    Your_adress_herel

Hi YAH, allright one Blefalas pic comming right up....

    belup615fl1.jpg

    Was that the one?

Thanks for your comments my friend and see you soon.

    Sunil

    Welcome to Anduin Valley Sunil,

I hope you're not blind, cause this is not a spaceship, it's simply a highway light!

    Come back anytime you want!

    Bat

    Thanks Bat

    S_A_ (Shadow_Assassin) - The Savannah Way

Hi Mate, yep it's in fact complete, with this last update.

Well same thing here, didn't play for a month now, thank god about having a lot of pictures in reserve!

What kind of new Video card you got? give us some feedback when playing SC4 with it.

    Take care my friend!

Mightygoose - Vil-valad, a city and its roots

Hi John, wow, sexy night shots, that's quite a compliment!

I'll take it though, not doing that many night shots, this one I'll keep as a reminder of doing more of those.

    Take care!

    Owenluby - Barton Region

    Hey Owen

Yep, back, but wish I would have more vacation comming, cause I know that they're waiting for my return at work! I even suspect that they're monitoring this very thread to keep an eye on me! SLY Who me, paranoid.... Nahhhhh! WINK

No, honestly it'll be be good to be among my colleagues again.

As for the golf, I should practice, cause we will be defending our title in the office tournament for the second year in a row... (dumb luck I guess)...

Take care and see you soon!

Jarnomiedema – The Empire of Chaumont

HI Jarno, as I'm a huge fan of the Lord Of the Rings trilogy (the books) I must have read them at least 10 to 15 times, so the idea of using Tolkien's lore, as a base for all the names in AVR, came naturally.

Even if your visits are spaced out, don't worry, believe I really appreciate them knowing very well the amount of time requied by the maintenance of one's CJ.

Always good to see you here, and long live Chaumont!

    Take care

    John

    Sanantonio

    Welcome to Anduin Valley Sanantonio,

Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion, It's always appreciated.

Do come back whenever you like.

    Take care!

    Bow River Valley

Hey Phil! how are you doing?

Thanks for stopping by my friend, heh, the vacations are really comming to an end, in fact I'm back to work today!

I really don't know if there's such a thing as a "Red Eye Express" but I just extrapolated from the Read Eye flights... (they call this "artistic license")

BTW loved your last update in Bow River valley.

Good to see you Phil, and waiting for more updates in BRV

    Take care!

    Gurrgkud - Cordova//Revisited

    Hi gurrgkud,

Thanks for those comment buddy, I really like working with industrial setups, it's a nice change from the cleanliness of my small suburbs!

    See you in Cordova!

    Take care

    Tracker - Graph X Services

Hey Tracker, thanks for your comments, as for your name suggestion thanks but all the names for Anduin Valley are already chosen, they all come from Tolkien's books and lore.

    Take care!

David (dedgren) - Three Rivers Region

    David, you're slaying me!  17.gif

And fall is not yet here, BUT, the days are cooler, the air is crisper (???) so I guess it's not that far! And I love it!

As for being a fan, the feeling's mutual!

    See you soon!

    Nik-nik

    Hey Nik!

I don't really know about the long term effects of pollution, to tell you the truth even if I am kind of partial to having as less polluted a city as I can, as this is a game, and I want to have fun first and foremeost, I just wanted to have a big undustrial sector.... My guess is, you must be right and it wouldn't be very pleasant to drive pass those polluting industries!

The underpass is the Marrast eye candy one, that I've replaced with Chris (Dragon Anime) modified one, see Threestooges answer a little higher.

Really great news about Pim! I agree, if he can eat the crust, he's getting REALLY better  18.gif

And you shouldn't have talked about croissant! I just finished breakfast, and here you go making me hungry again!

I really have a great time with my LesPaul SG, planning to change to a Strat as soon as I can, I'm not very good but I'm having a lot of fun!

As for the updates, we'll see, I'll have to start playing again, cause my picture bank is getting sparser these days.

    Take care my friend

And now dear readers, without further ado, here's....

And on these pics we say farewell to Bruinen Fjord, a region pic and a HUGE mosaic of Bruinen Fjord should be posted friday or monday.

    Still preparing Anôrien pics.

Thanks to all for your generous and friendly support, it keeps me going.

Now for the food for thought section....

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former" - Albert Einstein

    See you next time!

    In the meantime

Take care and enjoy life 10.gif
