All of the highwind crew sat in anticipation waiting... A hot sweat poured over guinea as he sat starting at the new shiny black leaver sitting towards the left of his control pannel , There was silence as the whole crew watched guinea , who in turn watched the leaver as if it was a staring co test , He was very nervous about this ,he thought to himself

*if this new hyper space engine overloads the current ones on the highwind , it wouldn't just kill them , it would cost a hell of a lot of money to fix too *

heh... guinea chucked to himself

C...captin...are we ok to go? biggs asked shyly

Guinea changed his facial expression to a smug cool looking expression before he turned to face biggs

of corse we are , unless you little girls want out

No sir! all four of the crew exclaimed to him in an army style shout

good then , now hold on to your drawers , and make sure you dont wet em !

And with a swift but shakey movement he grabbed the smooth shiny untouched leaver and yanked it back hard enough to rip it away from its holdings .

The highwind gave a huge lurch forward , then stopped before a loud sound simalar to that of a flame thrower was heard , before the crew could even realise this , a large blinding blue light filled the cockpits and the ship was engulfed in sky blue fire , They where then pinned to the back of their seats as the ship thrusted forward into hyperspace.

Guinea quite bewilederd and overcome by the whole experience managed to clance outthe window next to him nothing was to be seen , it was all hidden by the light blue fire , that was now rushing past the window as if it was the tail of an asterioid , the whole experience lasted only but a few seconds , but ripping through the very fabric of space and time made it feel like much longer .

A lerge sigh of releif was heard as the highwind departed from its blue firey capusal and enterd what seemed to be a space junkyard , Guinea had enterd the co ordinates for The uncharted Alfa sector , 498 lightyears away from his original position in the outskirts of the quadratical fist .

He un clipped his safetly harnes and rose out of his seat to veiw the main window and to see what was outside , All he could see was junk , scrap metal , old exploded ships , corpses of what seemed to be junkyard vermin , Guinea had heard about these monterous AI that tend to broken down ships and attack living ones, , his ship had no allies or enemys , him and his crew where solo cast outs and the only living ratonga to be found in the freeworlds teratory , they where also week , the jump had made them loose all movement for at least an hour

What do you make of this gu...... he was interupted

:: WARNING WARNING , UNIDENTIFIED ROBOTIC LIFE FORMS APROACHING , ::

Damn it they found us ! guinea shouted

all of you get to you balltle turrets and take out those ugly &$*@#  !

He ran back towards his own control pannel and glanced at the monitor witch was flashing rapidy

it read:

WARNING UNIDENTIFIED ROBOTIC LIFE FORMS APROACHING

analisys     :  junkyard vermin

Numbers    : 50

vicitory %  : 30

Escape %  : 0

Discription : an unkown type of junkyeard vermin , no known weeknesses or strengths , steel exterior , titanium spines  , considerd very dangerous

All of ye .. fire now ! he shouted down the speakers to his crew

Suddently a rain of white pulses came raining out of the ships turrents heading towards the junkyard vermin , Guinea opened a control box for his main pule laser and aimed the electronic LCD display cursor towars the rough center of the aproching enemies

He slammed his fist onto the large blue button to his right and as fast as lighting a large beam of blue pule emerged from the underbelly of the highwind , this raced towars the vermin and along with the pule cannons exploded right in the center of them

A flash of yellowy-orange light blined all the crew and dissapeard as fast as it appeared

Nothing was heared , no alarms , no buzzers ,no computer voice telling them to attack , it seemed as if the vermin had been daystoryed..............................

The Dreamsower quietly crossed the Nemesis system, it’s inertialess drives powered up to the maximum, JO was quite tense, and he had to keep concentrated to avoid allowing the psionic discharges ruin the devices on the ship’s bridge.
The Dreamsower was almost outside the red giant’s gravity well when JO’s hyperspace sensors beeped, 3 Odin-class carriers emerged from hyperspace, together with 10 ion frigates and 5 torpedo frigates.
They hailed JO’s ship, the face of a rough-looking woman appeared on the visual, JO hid his appearance by showing just a strange-shaped badge, he decided that some impression could be useful, and turned on the voice modulators of his ship to make it sound like a “hive mind

Lauren got the Pirate Hunter back off of the ground after putting the fires out, which was hard since the ship wasn't made for landing like that. After it was docked with the spaceship parking tower, Lauren went back to the hotel, got their stuff, paid for the rooms, then got back on the Pirate Hunter.

As Lauren started to fly away from Magitario, she wondered why the pirates seemed to be so active in this area, first it was the lone burger ship attack, then the pirate invasion. Lauren hoped that the pirates weren't planning some takeover of the galaxy, and that this was only temporary.

Lauren got the hyperdrive warmed up, and aimed for the FWC. She wasn't going to take a direct rout to Freespace 56-A-3 because it would take too long, instead she would go the FWC capital of Kerah and go though the hypergate there.

Once the hyperdrive warmed up, Lauren activated it, this time at full power, and went into hyperspace. As she watched the colors and shapes fly by the ship's windows, she never noticed a small light flash on the control panel, a light that is supposed to warn the captain of the ship that the ship was being tracked. Lauren never paid any attention to this button, because most of the time it had flashed it was just a false alarm.

Little did she know that this time, it was real.

As the ship exited hyperspace, Lauren saw that she was back in the FWC, having gone about 548 light years to get there. This was the first time that the high-power hyperdrive had been used up to its limit of 550 light years, and Lauren is glad that it worked okay, even though the ship was still heavily damaged.

Once the ship was on autopilot to go to a nearby solar system, Lauren and her crew went back to work fixing the Pirate Hunter. After a few hours the destroyed areas were repaired, but only enough that they were useable. After this, the crew had their usual card games before going to bed.

The next morning, the crew got back to work fixing the ship, adding the wall paneling that hid all of the wires and pipes to make it look nice. When Lauren went to one of the cargo rooms, she found a slightly crumpled container that appeared to be from the burger-ship that flew into the side of the Pirate Hunter.

Lauren used her telekinesis to rip the top off, and when she looked inside, she found a large supply of steel products that will be able to be used for fixing the ship so she wouldn't need to buy more. By around 6:00 PM the ship was again totally fixed, and Lauren hoped that it would stay that way.

As Lauren got back to the control room, she saw that they were now on the edge of that solar system that she saw yesterday. After scanning the planet, Lauren got the results shown on the main screen. It read:

    Name: Wingera
    Inhabitants: Humanoids
    Disposition of inhabitants: calm
    Average temp: 22.5 degrees C
    Average weather: cloudy

As Lauren flew over the planet she saw that it seemed to be used only for farms, and there were no towns bigger than a few blocks on the planet. Lauren decided that to go to one for the towns because the food supply was running low, and she didn't know where she would be able to get more food next.

After taking the Karem 3 down to a small town called Neoton, she remembered several laws of the FWC dealing with the transport of certain foods, 2 of which included:

Fruit and Vegetable act, 2245, Article 5, Subsection iv: Cabbage

In accordance with trade regulations reached in the Golding Plan and the K'tatra treaty, transportation of Cabbage is expressly forbidden unless:

    a) The vessel has a registered home port in the FWC 7th Sector
    b) The vessel is commanded by a one eyed, one legged humanoid
    c) The vessel signals transmits it's manifest to all passing vessels
    d) The cargo is not designated for use as a consumable.

Fruit and Vegetable act, 2245, Article 4, Subsection iii: Peas
In accordance with trade regulations reached in the Golding Plan and the K'tatra treaty, transportation of Peas are expressly forbidden unless:

    a) The vessel has a registered home port in the FWC 5th Sector
    b) The vessel has recently been checked at a local space station
    c) The vessel has a green and yellow striped coloring
    d) The cargo is designated for use as ammunition
    e) The vessel has a crew of over 200.

After buying several boxes of grain, sugar, and other ingredients and spices, as well as some fresh cookies for the card games that night, Lauren got the stuff loaded into the Karem 3 and took off for the Pirate Hunter. After playing card and enjoying the cookies, the crew got some well-needed rest.

The next day, Lauren got the hyperdrive ready and headed for Kerah, again not noticing the blinking tracking light. Once she got to Kerah, the area around the planet was swarming with spaceships, and Lauren got into the line waiting to use the hypergate. While the wait as about an hour due to the long line of rush-hour traffic, Lauren got to the hypergate and entered the site for the exit point, Freespace 56-A-3.

After going though the hypergate, she looked behind the Pirate Hunter to see, several gray ships exit and take off in the direction of Shakti. Lauren saw that the Inner Rim was much different that her home area, with numerous bright stars in the area and several mining planets.

After setting the autopilot for Freespace 56-A-3, Lauren got ready to find out where those burger-ships came from.

    This sounds like fun.

    Here's my submission:

All other information is classified or unkown.

    Background:

After finishing his racing carrer on Kerah, bought a new frigate known as MZ 14108. His experience as a high speed racer helped in the training that the Free Worlds Confederation gave him and he is now the commander of the Alpha Wing fleet. Although never being involved in any real fights, the high-speed capabilities of his ship in an atmospehered planet (over 2500mph) mean that without hyper-speed his ship can do over 5000mph in space. Muzz is set to become a hero when an enemy force invades, but that hasn't happened in over 400 years. Although being a commander of a top fleet, Muzz does things by his own rules and can be quite a rebel at times, once blowing up a bus of space-nuns. Luckily no-one died.

    Ship stats:

    Name-MZ 14108

    Class- Frigate

    Mass- 2486kg

Ron followed a capital police ship as it flew away from Seluca. Ron was hoping on going with the ship to the planet Renago, located just within the Inner Rim and known as being an area to hang out for awhile while you figure out where to go next. As the Police ship got ready to go into hyperspace, Ron asked for clearance to be able to go with it. After a few seconds, they accepted, and then jumped into hyperspace.

When the Black Widow came out of hyperspace wit the police cruiser, Ron headed for Renago to see what was there, and also where he should go next.

    Name: Ron Ranly
    Age: 48
    Sex: Male
    Blood Type: AB+
    Height: 1.93 M
    Weight: 108 KG
    Eye color: Brown
    Hair color: Red

    Background information:

Ron was a space police officer for about 10 years of his life on the planet Seluca, located in the FWC on the edge of the uncharted Alpha area and close to the border of the Inner Rim. It was hard work there due to Seluca's reputation of being a perfect place to fight. While there are fighting rings there that allow legal fighting, there was also a lot of illegal fighting going on. Ron's police group had a tough time dealing with the illegal fighting, until a new law was passed allowing the police to kill anyone in an illegal fight on the spot. (This only meant a full scale fight until someone surrendered or died, not a small bar fight or something like that) After that, the number of fights was suddenly diminished, and there were now way to many cops there. Ron was one of the people who made it though the mass firing, and he spent the rest of the career quietly due to the fact that there was much less crime in the area. 2 years after the new law was passed, Ron quit his job and started to fly spaceships for tourists to the area. After 15 years of that, he was ready for retirement, and he bought a spaceship and started patrolling the galaxy. While he now has no job, he is still a registered police officer, and can make use of a police cruiser and arrest people. However, now that he is alone, there is basically no way to take on anything bigger than his own ship because he can no longer call for backup.

    Spaceship:
    Name: The Black Widow
    Class: Frigate
    Crew: 35

Weapons: a single ion beam located on the front of the spaceship, a rear missile launcher, and 4 small mass drivers, and a large mass driver located on the top of the ship and mounted on a turret.

How come some people haven't posted in awhile?

Lauren flew the Pirate Hunter up to one of the docking bays on the Freespace 56-A-3, and got the ship secured to the space station. Lauren got out of her ship, and looked around the station, trying to find out where the ship database was. After she found it on the map, she got her crew, and found a hotel onboard and got the rooms ready for later.

Lauren found a transport train in the main hall, and rode it to the other side of the station, where the ship database was. When she got there, she entered in the burger-ship information, and it came up with 2 matches. The first was about a capital-class ship called the Big-Whop, which had a base on the planet Rateger. The other match was for a frigate-class ships from the planet Bahadi. Both of these planets were found in the Beta Uncharted Region, and seem to be pirate hideouts.

Lauren looked though it finding other ships that se saw, including her own ship. The gray ships she saw going to Shakti were not in the registry for some reason, and Lauren though they were either newly made, or were some sort of secretive pirates, smugglers, or bounty hunters. After doing that, she remembered the airplane like-one. That ship also was from Bahadi, and seemed to belong to a big pirate group.

After finding a galactic map, Lauren started planning her route to Rateger. The first stop would be another farming planet named Leesti, then up to an interstellar rest stop named Louvera, and on to a resource trading post named Anacata, before getting to the Uncharted Beta Region where Rateger is located.

After getting back to the hotel, Lauren turned on the news to see what was happening. There were reports of another black hole fusion in Shakti, as well as more trouble with the Djaznans and the Ilrans. The main news was about the Djazna Star Empire invading the Quartical Fist. Lauren wondered why they wanted to do that, and why they couldn't just move the Djaznan clans out of the Quartical Fist, and save the innosent people.

After Lauren played a game of cards and fell asleep, the 5 gray ships that had followed the Pirate Hunter to Freespace 56-A-3 started circling the station, waiting for Lauren.

Sorry all, due to some reasons I strayed off the forum, but I'm back.
Muzz: Unless you agree on being dependant on other ships which you would have no control to move between system you are in (I sent a PM for you)
Marvin: You are in, but make your ship a big frigate, she deals some punch there, and make the ion cannon somewhat unrelieable and power-drunk

The Free Worlds Confederation fleet drifted through the Benson system on the edge of the galaxy. Word had been recieved that mysterious activity had been going on here. Being more of a peace-keeping squad, the Free Worlds Confederation were here to investigate.

On the bridge of MZ-10814, Muzz sat in the pilots seat and looked out at the panoramic view of the Benson system. Planets were dotted around and every hour or so a freighter would pass on the trade route that ran right through here. Muzz looked over at his navigator, Dharn Ghorzd. Any news on the activity? He said to him. Dharn looked round and smiled No, not in the last 2 minutes sir. Muzz had been so anxious about this investigation that he had been asking Dharn every few minutes if there were any suspicious signs. Dharn looked back at the screen and his smile turned into a frown. Unkown ships approaching sir. He said. It pays to ask. Muzz said leaping out of his seat and walking over to the navigator's screen. Dharn rolled his chair out of the way for Muzz to get a look. The dot on the screen split up into 5 more dots and Muzz realised that it was a squad of fighters in formation. Muzz cursed under his breath and got back to his seat to call the unidentified ships on intercom when the capital ship to MZ-10814's left banked to the left as if to get out of harms way. Muzz's ship was more manueverable and he shouted down the stairs to the guns and the engine room: Gunners get to your weapons! Engineers buckle up! We're adopting evasive manuevere 2-13. Gunners be ready with those guns! Yes sir! Shouted many voices in unison. Then out of the black of the Benson System, appeared 5 fleets of 10 fighters. Muzz didn't recognise them and they had jagged wings with laser cannons and a spherical cockpit in the middle. It looked like they were towing something and as they approached Muzz realised that each one was pulling a sonic charge behind them.

The ships around Muzz scattered and a passing freight vehicle swerved to avoid MZ-10814 which was now in the middle of the trade-route. Muzz was sure that the driver made an obscene gesture at him but he had no time to notice it. The intercom blurted into life Gunner 1 standing by Gunner 2 standing by Gunner 3 standing by Gunner 4 standing by. Muzz shouted back into the intercom. Aim for the pipes that are towing the bombs. If those bombs hit any of our ships were in serious trouble! The guns were fully rotatable and Muzz had to leave the rest to the gunners. He dodged a ship as it pulled up hoping to hit the bridge with its bomb, the weight of the bomb as it missed pulled the ship back down and somersaulted into the top of MZ-10814. The bomb kept travelling and smashed into a piece of spacejunk. Muzz grabbed his seat tight as a large blue shockwave exploded out of the bomb as it hit the old engine unit. The shockwave lost most of its momentum quickly, but small pieces of debris flew around srapped the side of the ship. Muzz wrestled with the control stick and managed to control the ship. Then the capital ship lumbered right into the path of Muzz and he had to quickly pull to the right and found his ship travelling so close along the capital ships side that he thought he was going to have to give it a new coat of paint. Luckily his ship didn't touch the capital ship and he saved himself a good 5 hours if he made it out of this mess. An enemy fighter flew right infront of his cockpit but Muzz barely flinched. Sir, I think thats all the bombs. A gunner called into the intercom. Good, now go for the- Muzz stopped mid-sentence and a freight truck ducked to avoid the ship as Muzz was no longer in controlling it. His attention was fixated on the giant yellow ship that had just appeared out of hyper-space. His attention was fixed on the giant laser cannons and he knew that it would take a helluva lot of fire-power to make it out of this situation alive.

    EDIT: Continuation

The behemoth ship infront of Muzz was unlike anything he had ever seen before. It was a large oval shape and the sides came into a point at the front. Near the back, a large engine rack stuck out but the design of the ship let the sides slope up and cover the behind of the engines. Towards the middle a bridge rasied above the main ship in an egg shape. The ship was yellow in colour and stuck-out like a Daffodil in snow. Unity, the Free Worlds Confederation flag-ship proceded to approach the giant ship. MZ-14108 which was more manueverable closley followed. Muzz called into the intercom which was now connected with Unity. Do you really know what your doing? He asked the commander. We're going to attempt to board the ship. That thing is 5 times the size of us and we'll never make it out alive if dog-fight with it. My guess is that it is loaded with fighters and ground craft and very few men. If we all board we might be able to take over. The Commander replied. Do we actually know who they are? Muzz asked. No. But their hostile if they lau- Muzz was cut off as a laser beam much bigger than anything that his ship could produce hit the comms room of Unity. It didn't do any damage to the outside and through the window Muzz could see no one hurt, but they had cut off their communications and now Muzz would have to do what he liked best, doing things his own way.

He ordered the gunners to aim for the gun placements and he swooped in low over the surface. It was very smooth except every so often a tower would appear or a cannon. It must have looked strange, a large frigate which usually wouldn't engage in combat swooping over a giant enemy ship. He listened to the sound of the lasers. The high pitched squeak of the laser firing out of the gun. He heard an enemy laser and then a bang. He watched in horror as another blue laser fired from one of the turrets and slammed into his engines. Dials flashed red and sirens went off as the ship fluttered around like a lost bird losing power and altitude over the giant ship. If he could make it to the end of the ship, he could try and crash land on the planet nearby. He wrestled with the controls and realised a better solution was coming right his way.

In one of the hangars on the enemy ship, 7 pilots got into their fighters and waited for permission to leave the hanger. They looked up at the control room where the controller would lower the force field to allow the ships to leave. The hangar emptied and all the doors locked tight as the force field was lowered and the ships were ready to depart into the fight outside. As they were about to leave they saw a ship out of control. It got bigger and bigger and bigger until the realised it was a frigate heading straight for the hangar.

HOLD ON!!! JUST HANG ON!!! Muzz screamed as he slammed the breaks on. The jets on the front of the ship reversed and fired forward as the ship entered the hangar. It smashed into the back wall of the hangar. The controller raised force-field again to allow troops to enter, but as he rasied it, the door of the ship burst open and out came a group of pilots from the ship. The doors unlocked and the troops came out but Muzz and his accomplices were ready. The fired and formed a circle so that they were back to back and fired at the enemy troops. One by one the troops fell and Muzz and co. soon made it out of the hangar and into the corridors. Their fight had only just begun and they did not know what was to come. They did know that the only way to save the entire fleet would be to shut down, blow up or capture the giant ship. Either way, the chances were that they were going to die.

The next morning Lauren got on the Karem 1 and decided to fly around  Freespace 56-A-3 to see what was all there. As she flew around the outside of it she could see inside at all the stuff inside, including restaurants, stores, and homes. She then flew off to look at the local mining planets, and as she flew behind an iron ore planet, blocking  Freespace 56-A-3 from view, 5 of the unidentified gray ships surrounded the Karem 1, and hit it with a tractor beam. Lauren hit one of the ships with several round from the Karem 1's small mass driver, blowing out the front viewing windows, decompressing the entire control center and killing the crew. Another 1 one of the ships fired some sort of missile, but it didn't explode on contact. Instead, it released some sort of anesthetic gas, because Lauren soon became drowsy, and fell asleep.

When Lauren woke up, she was in some sort of prison cell inside some spaceship. The guards told her that they had captured her because she had destroyed one of their best ships, the Big-Whop. Several minutes later, Lauren had got her energy back, and waited for the guards to walk away from her cell, then grabbed one of the bars, and ripped it right out of the wall. They were electrified, but Lauren's skin was so thick and she was so angry that she hardly noticed it. As the guards turned around to see what the noise was, Lauren swung the steel bars at them and knocked them 15 meters down the hall, killing them instantly.

On the deck of the ship, the alarm went off that a prisoner had escaped. The captain of the ship ordered 3 groups of warriors down to the prison section, and all doors closed to seal off the area. Lauren hid in a small storage area off of the main hallway, and telekinetically scanned the ship, forming a map of the entire ship in her mind. She found out that the Karem 1 was in the hanger on the other side of the ship, and she had to go about a mile to get to it. Lauren found a weak spot in the wall and pushed, and the wall collapsed and Lauren found herself in a cargo bay. She put the wall back up and telekinetically sealed it, making it look as if nothing had happened.

The warriors heard the noise, and went over to investigate. Upon finding the storage area Lauren was in, they found the bars from her cell, but Lauren was nowhere to be found. They though they heard noises coming from the cargo bay on the other side of the wall, but they though that Lauren couldn't have just walked right though the wall, and that it was just cargo workers.

Lauren knew that she was going to have to save her physic energy just in case the enemy found her, so she decided that she would just disguise herself and get though the ship unnoticed. After sneaking into the hallway, she saw a large green creature on garbage duty, and Lauren knew that would be a perfect disguise. She snuck up behind it while it was emptying garbage into a disposal chute, then grabbed it, covering up its mouth and going into a nearby bathroom. There she knocked it out with a punch to the head, and took its uniform and them hid the creature in a stall and tied it up. When she put the uniform on, she discovered it had numerous garbage bits inside of it, the boots had some sort of mush in them, and when she put the hat on, it got slime in her hair, but she knew she had to go like this to be able to get out of this ship.

Lauren found a service tunnel in the hallway, and on her map, it went down the length of the ship. Lauren walked down a walkway, which soon gave way from her weight, dropping her into the bottom of the tunnel which is full of garbage and slime. As she walks down the tunnel, wading through the glop, she began thinking why she had decided to take a morning drive in the Karem 1.

The warriors heard the noise from the collapsing walkway, and ran to the neighboring hall, finding the tied up garbage thing, and they went to the service tunnel. They spotted Lauren, but when they went to get her, she ran up a set of stairs, grabbed the walkway, ripped it loose, destroyed the stairs, and threw it at the warriors. The remaining warriors called for backup, saying Escaped prisoner on deck 4, dressed as a garbage man and very dangerous.

Lauren ran down the hall, found a cargo truck and jumped in, and drove down the hallway. The warrior's backup soon arrived in 10M tall mechs, and started chasing her. Lauren swerved all over the hallway, as the mechs fired several ion beams at her, but they missed, blasting out big holes in the floor. Just as Lauren turned a corner, she saw that it was a dead end, but when she looked at her map, it went through space for about 20M before ending up in another hallway. Lauren hit the wall with a telekinetic blast, ripping a hole though both just large enough for her cargo truck, and the holes enlarged as the deck decompressed. Just as Lauren jumped the truck though the hole, the engine died, but it had just enough speed to make it to the other side.

Lauren jumped out of the truck as it landed, and ran to one of the airlocks. Once she was inside the airlock, she ripped off the garbage man uniform and went though the airlock to the pressurized part of the ship. After looking at the map again, she found that she was very close to the Karem 1, but she was almost out of psychic energy.
She plowed though a door to the hanger, and jumped in the Karem 1 and took off, shooting a hole in the hanger door with the Karem 1's guns. Soon, a fleet of about 50 corvette class ships were following her, but they didn't seem to want to attack. Suddenly, Lauren found out that they were just charging their pulse beams as about 50 blasts went by her ship, but missed, because the Karem 1 was too fast.

Lauren called her crew to the Pirate Hunter and told them to get ready, and come to her. The enemy fired another one of the anesthetic missiles, but when it hit, Lauren depressurized the Karem 1 to get rid of the gas. Soon, the Pirate Hunter came, and began firing at the ships as they came around from behind a mountain of the iron ore planet. Lauren turned the Karem 1 around as the Karem 2 and the Karem 3 were released from the Pirate Hunter, and began to shoot the incoming ships. Soon, all 50 of them had been destroyed, and the mothership had left for unknown reasons. When Lauren got back on the Pirate Hunter, she took a nice long bath to get rid of the garbage smell, and told the clean up crew to deodorize the Karem 1 and fix the holes in the side.

    Continued-

Meanwhile, on board Unity, commander Johnson entered the bridge to speak with the general. Sir, MZ-14108 has just crashed. He said solemnly. Do we know if there are any survivors? the general asked turning back in his seat and watching the fight in front of him. No sir, but- At that moment, commander Uhl hit the general over the head with the butt of his laser. The general slumped out of his seat, unconscious, and landed on the cold metal floor. Commander Uhl gave him a light push with his foot and the general rolled down the 4 steps into the navigational room which was empty. Just as he did that, an officer walked in. As the navigational room was on a lower level, the officer could not see the general sprawled out on the floor and unconscious. Have you seen the general, commander? He asked. No, I think he went to the main hangar. Uhl replied calmly. Thank you. The officer said and left the room. Uhl turned bavk to the fight and smiled, he now had control of Unity.

Muzz lead his team of 8 up a few ramps, round a few corners and up a few more ramps. He had lost count of how many corners and ramps they had turned round and gone up. He had no idea where they were going until they reached an lift marked 'Bridge'. He got in and beckoned his team to follow him. As they went up he said, When we reach the top, fire at everyone in the bridge. We have the element of surprise. Go for everyone. The team nodded and soon Muzz heard the lift stop. He took a deep breath and as the door opened, he fired into the bridge. Through the hail of laser fire, he saw a couple of troops in black fall down. None of them had time to fire back and soon all except one person in the bridge had been shot. The team, still of 8, did not see a cloaked figure sitting in the large chair in the middle. He stood up and moved out of the way and Muzz saw a young man of about 27 huddled against the wall. He was bound and gagged with some strange tape. When he saw Muzz his face changed from scared to a face of asstonishment. Muzz recognised him but couldn't place him. But he was clearly in the Free Worlds Confederation or an ally of them. The cloaked figure spoke: Your friend here is going to die now. I wanted you to see it! He had an old voice that was as sharp as a sword but his face was hidden in the shadow of his hood. He pulled out a laser weapon and held it aiming at the young man. The mans face changed again to fear and if he had not been gagged he would have said something like Please save me!!! But all Muzz could hear was MMMM MMPHH!!! No you won't hurt him. Muzz said calmly. The cloaked man turned and laughed but kept his gun aimed at the young man. The man was crying now and was sweating very heavily. He looked like he was going to kick the man but his legs were bound around his knees. HA! What are you going to do? The cloaked man said turning back to his prisoner. Without another word Muzz fired his laser straight into the old mans hood and through his temple and hit the computer behind him. The old man collapsed and his hood came off revealing an old wrinkled face, and a large hole straight through his head. Blood was splattered over the floor and the chair. The young man had his eyes closed and opened them again, relieved to see his captor dead. Muzz approached him and pulled the tape out of his mouth and he drooled all over the floor. Sorry, He said wiping his shirt and trousers (which were ripped and dirty) clean. I've not been able to swallow properly. I understand. Muzz said sympathetically. The man attempted to stand up but he was so shaky his knees gave way and he fell to the floor with a whimper. Thank you for saving me, he said sitting on the floor. I don't suspect you know who I am. That's not important right now. Muzz said sitting in the main chair. He was now in control of the gargantuan and he had the chance to take this battle the Free Worlds Confederations way. No, I really think you should know. Said the young man again. I'm busy, tell me later. Muzz said pushing the weapons power up to full. You need to know that- Muzz turned on the young man and said Tell me later! We need to win this battle now! I don't care who you are right now! Take him down there please Dharn. Muzz said pointing to the navigational area. Dharn grabbed the young man by the arm and said Lets go, you don't wanna see him when he's angry. It's for the best. The young man spluttered as if lost for words. I'M YOUR BROTHER!!! He shouted. Muzz stopped and looked round at him. Everyone looked at Muzz and then at the young man, and back at Muzz and then back at the young man as if watching tennis. Muzz stared into the same blue eyes as his, and realised, these eyes truly did belong to his brother.

Ron took the Black Widow in closer to Renago, and found a space dock in orbit above the planet. Ron docked the ship, and went onto the space elevator to go down to the surface. Once he was on the surface, he found a restaurant, and inside, he heard people talking about how a well-known smuggler had been arrested at a planet named Leesti in the Inner Rim. Ron ordered some pizza and sat at a table near them so he could continue listening to them.

Once the pizza had arrived, Ron learned that this guy's name was Jameson and he was a smuggler of narcotics. Ron wondered why he had never heard this before, as it was several weeks since it had happened.

Once Ron had finished the pizza, he decided that he would go on to Leesti to see what was going on. He knew it was in the Inner Rim, but it was almost on the other side of the galactic core, and it would take awhile to reach it.

That night, Ron went back to his ship and got in, and started flying it away from Renago to a place where he could sleep without other ships flying by him and waking him up.

After taking her bath, Lauren got ready to go back to flying the Pirate Hunter. After all the stuff that has happened, she has learned to be very careful, as you never know what might happen next. The next time she goes exploring she will bring the Pirate Hunter with her, and never allow herself to be trapped in an area.

Lauren warmed up the hyperdrive, and set off for Leesti. While Lauren was in hyperspace, the Nordic mothership went into hyperspace also and reported to the planet Terra. While there, they reported that Lauren had escaped, and had destroyed most of their defenses. The leaders on Terra punished the captain of the ship for letting Lauren get away by having to dress up like a maid and clean his mansion for 25 years, and also do all sorts of maintenance tasks without playing any games, and with little breaks.

Lauren came out of hyperspace and looked down at Leesti. It seemed to be just like Wingera, with just farms as far as you could see. Soon, a large city came into view, and Lauren docked with a nearby spaceport and went down to the surface. There was a prison station in orbit around the planet, and when Lauren looked at it, she could sense that someone was trying to escape, but was being prevented. After getting to the ground, she went to the local junkyard to look for parts for the frigate. There were several junk ships, but a frigate on top of a large pile caught her attention. She examined every side of it, but decided it wasn't the right type of ship to look for parts on. This ship seemed to be a cargo ship, and Lauren was looking for a warship. She continued to look at it however, and she soon found a plate on it that had the ship's name, which was the Marcus Garvey. She heard that name somewhere before, but just couldn't figure out where. Lauren looked behind a panel on the side of the ship, and several rats jumped out, scaring her.

Lauren left the junkyard soon afterwards, not finding anything that had what Lauren was looking for. She found a hotel and spent the night there to wait for the hyperdrive to recharge so she could go on to Louvera.

Muzz knew he didn't have the time to become emotionally involved at the moment. He had learned that lesson before with a woman. We'll talk about this later, he said concentrating on the battle. A fighter spiralled passed the bridge and smashed into the surface. We have 2 choices, Muzz said. A) Blow the ship from the inside and escape, or B) Use the ship to win the battle. I say blow it up. Someone said. Yeah! cried another. Is everyone ok with that? Muzz asked. Everyone nodded. Muzz ran over to a computer that controlled the guns. He aimed and fired at the ships hull. From the window of the bridge, a thick blue laser could be seen shooting straight into the hull, making a big gapping hole. The ship shook and the ships controls must have disabled as it turned and started falling towards the planet below. Muzz and his team ran from the bridge to try and find a ship in which to escape. They couldn't know just how difficult, and futile this would be.

When will the next newsletter be?

The next morning Lauren went back to the Pirate Hunter after finishing up some business on Leesti. She got the hyperdrive ready, and went on to Louvera. As Lauren got there, it didn't look like there was very much stuff to do on the planet, but when Lauren got lower, she saw that it was mostly skyscrapers everywhere. She found a dock, and got in the Karem 2. After flying around a bit, she found a place that had plenty of parts to complete the fixing of the frigate. Lauren got some of the crew, and started to buy some parts. After buying plenty of parts and some food, they went back to work on fixing the frigate up. Lauren hoped that they would be able to get at least everything working in it, and maybe even get it to fly.

After a few hours, the weapon systems were working, and work began on getting everything together. After another hour, everything seemed to be working, and Lauren got ready to test the ship. After running all of the system tests, everything seemed to be working, and Lauren got the ship ready to take off. The ship took off okay, and was doing good on the flying tests, but whenever she tried to test the main weapon on an asteroid, it started powering up, than just quit. Lauren didn't know what was going on, but all of the other weapons worked, and she got it back to the Pirate Hunter ok. The rest of the day was spent trying to find the problem, but none was found. Lauren wondered why it was happening, but she would have to wait until later to find out.

Ron soon found an area that was free of disturbances, and he settled down to sleep. The  next morning Ron looked at the news, and it said tat there was some sort of disturbance at Freespace 56-A-3 that seemed to deal with a large ship in the area attacking other ships. Also, there seemed to be strange activity going on in the Benson system, but that was on the edge of the galaxy, too far away from where Ron was at for him to conceder going there.

Ron decided he would continue up to Freespace 56-A-3 to see if there was anything there of interest, and after that, he would probably go on to the Ilra Republic to look at how they were doing, and what the solar systems there were like. As he waited for another police ship to come by and allow him to go into hyperspace, he checked out his ship's weapon systems, and tried to figure out a way of getting the ion beam to be more reliable, as it tended to shut down during heavy use, and refuse to come back on for several hours.

It has been over a month since the last newsletter, I wonder what will be on it?

Lauren got in the Pirate Hunter, and started a system check to make sure everything was OK. After a few minutes, the system check was over, and it seemed most of the ship was in good condition, except for an area near where one of the shots from a previous fight had hit. Lauren already knew about this, but there was no real reason to fix it because it was in a hard to reach place, and it still worked just fine.

The next morning Lauren fired up the hyperdrive, and set out for Anacata. As she arrived, she found many space stations over the planet, which seemed to be barren and rocky. After landing at a space station, Lauren learned that Anacata was slowly destroyed by mining, and has turned into the barren rock it is now. Mining still continues now, but there isn't as much due to the fact that most of the valuable materials have already been extracted from the planet.

Lauren traded some of the super dense rock that she found on Odion for some protanium, which is used to supply the power for the Pirate Hunter. Protanium is expensive, but the rocks that she found on Odion were very rare, and were great for heat shielding, so it was more than enough to get the protanium she needed. She also bought some more steal beams and plates for later use, and traded the rest of the Odion rocks for some of the rarer materials that were used in the Pirate Hunter.

Lauren was beginning to miss home after being out for so long, and also because she had traveled over halfway through the galaxy to get where she is now. She began to plan to go back to Karem after exploring Bahadi and Rateger, and while at Karem, she would meet her family again, and also check how the Odion mine was doing.

The police ship arrives, and Ron goes along with it into hyperspace. The police ships soon leaves hyperspace near a planet called Eniootat, located just on the edge of the alpha uncharted region, and Ron goes along with the police ship to investigate some sort of disturbance in one of the cities on the planet. As Ron approached the desert planet, he had no idea what he might find...
