Don't use the Quick Reply in those threads.. just stick with opening up the reply box. Not sure whats up with it, but everyone seems to have that problem too.

The ST-EX doesn't seem to work great for me; (it worked great earlier) Everything works fine, until I try to download something using the "Download" button, it downloads a file called "bad.gif" which displays something about direct links, while I'm just trying to download something. yes i've enabled cookies. i allowed the hole simtropolis.com site.

i'm not that advaned in computer stuff, but when i list "cookies", there are simtropolis related once.

Right.  If you are still having troubles, open a new topic in Bugs and Technical Issues.  This discussion is actually for bugs in the board software, not problems with the game or individual software problems.

I have an issue with the STEX,

When I try to search anything, it comes up with the following error:

Uh-oh, an error has occurred!

Notify webmaster... We recommend you start over... #URL.error#

I posted this before, but I want to give it a last try with some screenshots. that's the problem i've got. (new firefox, new java, disable antivir didn't help)

Interesting.  Your editing panel is missing.  I don't have that problem.

I am on the latest Java Run Time

I am running Windows XP SP2 current fixes installed

I am on Bluewater Cable TV's ISP server with a LAN (CATV) link via a Linksys Switch

This ISP is located near Clinton, Ontario, Canada and is running Apache Server Software

The service is carried on the same hook up as my television signal.

nearly the same like yours. newest firefox and java, running windws xp.

i've got a flat rate/ LAN (sorry but i'm not that firm in computer stuff) but a few weeks ago i got a new antivir program and i guess there is the failure, because the error occured at this time (round about) but unfurtunately it doesn't make any difference, when it is disabled or not.

i.e. editing messages have had work before on my actual system (except the antivir program)

Wish I could help, but I can't see the problem.  What new AV program did you get?  Has it inserted any services into your system?

For some odd reason, I can't enter chat. Not sure if it's a bug or not. This is what I see everytime I try to enter chat. It's been like this for the past 2 days.

Beats me.  I just tried it and got in.  My current version of JRE is 6.1_01.  Maybe you should try a Java update?

I tried reinstalling, but in both instances, I had the same exact version: Java Plug-in 1.6.0_01

Since my dad works on programs and software, I let him look at my computer and he retrieved the coding of the error:

I put a box type line around the error. 

Perhaps I should contact Dirk?

The first time I went on the Simtropolis Exchange, the pictures would show up in the list. Now, it's just a black field - for all of them. Why can't I see the pictures? :-S

Lmejh: Don't worry. You aren't the only one. I can't see the pictures at all, especially on the homepage on the STEX Selections and Today's Spotlight.

Hello, i am rather new to simtropolis, so far i havn't downloaded much.

Thats mainly because on several things, such as the NAM, when i click the download button, nothing happens, i have tried several things [in bothe I.E 7 and firefox] but so far nothing has worked.

I presume i am one of few to have this "bug", i will apriciate any help.

Madwolfyrage: Welcome to Simtropolis! Try disabling your firewall completely while downloading the Modds. I used to have this problem and disabling my firewall seemed to fix the problem.

What browser are you using?  Does it have any limitations?  If you are on AOL, try getting a copy of FireFox.

This really belongs in Bugs and Technical Difficulties.  The problem is not the site, but your computer's firewall or other protection system (parental controls?).  You need to allow the site to send you stuff.

Please listen Mr. N_O_Body - Simtropolis work well some minutes ago - I downloaded more than 2 MGb - and You must look for some problems with your PC system or Firewall ...
