The 26th of December in the UK is Boxing Day. Originally it was the day when the masters would give their servents leftover boxes containing leftover food and other such small gifts.

Today, Boxing Day is most famous for the Boxing Day Hunt, a centuries old tradition of the hunting of foxes by dogs.

Though this tradition was banned two years ago under the grounds of it being cruelty to animals, it is still very widely practised (illegaly) in thousands of rural towns and villages.
