Our story begins on the quiet shores of San Bugatta. A brave and courageous captain from Spain by the name of Alfredo Gutierrez spent many years of his life planning to travel and discover a new land. Although the year he set sail was 2034 and most of the planet was already inhabited by humans, Alfredo was determined to find someplace large, beautiful and gracious. He set sail with large bags of foods, spices and materials, in case he finds someplace to live, along with 20 other men and women. Three months of sailing passed until Alfredo and his crew discovered a somewhat of an oasis type land across the sea. He redirected his ship for the land and arrived at the sandy shores of what he thought it to be the 'Land of the Gods.' He and his crewmembers created a small agrarian village of 21 people. Each citizen was good at something. Some were hard-labor workers, others were doctors and land surveyers. The power plant took longer than expected to finish, but when it was done, life seemed easier. Farmers had a hard time farming because they first had to figure out WHAT they could grow before they could start growing.

After everything was set and done, the production began. Many of the settlers lived in bungalows in close proximity of one another, others, many of them farmers, lived on the farms. San Bugatta's production rates were doing okay, for a starting economy, however many of the workers who'd originally been working to build up the village became unemployed because of decreased territory expansion. The bungalow owners and Alfredo himself allowed the unemployed to live under a roof and eat good foods because of their communist influence. Everyone worked together and shared with one another to get what they needed.

A banker from Barcelona calculated the Gross Domestic Product, or GDP, and came up with and astounding $72. For a country like the U.S., that is less than nothing, but for a communist, agrarian village like San Bugatta, that is a lot.
(GDP is basically the value of all the goods and services made in a country.)

Cool, 72$ is alot of money. The story line is pretty neat already, but I hope you don't 'rush into it' if you know what I mean.39.gif39.gif

After a couple months of organizing their small village, the townspeople got together one day and proposed the construction of a market place. Alfredo was the man they all depended on to actually pass the proposition, and of course, he agreed to it. Passing such a proposition would lead to prosperity and jobs in the long run, but at the same time would create very little crime, which San Bugatta was not prepared for just yet.

    plannedmarket9ke.jpg

As time passed more and more materials were being transported to the construction yards for the market place and during that time, Alfredo took it upon himself to ensure that everyone has a job and that everyone has a place to live in. He decided to expand to the southeast and allow more bungalows to be built so larger families may live by themselves. Alfredo also believed that education was important and that some of the older people, the forty to fifty year olds, needed a place to join together and read. So he announced his decision with the rest of the village, and they were pleased.

The monthly demographic was released to the public and this month's level of unemployment was very low. People enjoyed Alfredo's presence as 'mayor.'

I love small, rural CJ's. They're way more attention to detail. I can't wait to see the new library and marketplace.

As 'mayor' of San Bugatta, Alfredo seemed to be doing his job right and everyone was very content with his work. The road construction was the first to be done because it was the simplest of all. Slowly, the workers focus began to go more towards the new bungalows, the marketplace and the new library.
    12mnthtime4vv.jpg

    And the marketplace:
    mpcomingsoon8es.jpg

Alfredo even had a chart to prove that his village was doing excellent in their work.

    gdpchart9ng.jpg

However, with all good things, bad things always tag along. Three months into the huge project a fire breaks loose in the village. The citizens began panicing and didn't know what to do. The best they did was use their hoses to put the fire out, but that did not work. The fire grew and grew and caught onto two neighboring bungalows, forcing the tenants of those bungalows to take their valuables with them and evacuate the area.

    The aftermath:
    bugattafiretv6xh.jpg

Because of the fire that burned down three bungalows, Alfredo insisted that the workers stop constructing the marketplace and the Lower Expansion and to start building up a new firehouse for the entire village to feel safe.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for the next update, trust me, it'll be very interesting!

Cool Cj, Wish you the best of luck with it. Though one though hit me, that Coalplant should give the village a lot of jobs and money in powerexport, how come a so small village has such a large coal plant?

    Cheers

Because coal plants in San Bugatta have heavy machinery which take up a lot of space in order to catalyze the coal for energy.2.gif19.gif

Construction on the new firehouse began. It was December in San Bugatta and although the temperature was low, the citizens' tempers were high. People expected more from a man like Alfredo, who was able to set sail and start a whole new civilation from scratch. The citizens were starting to turn the other cheek and looking for someone new to run the village. A revolt, or coup de etat, was highly feared.
    firehouse1ic.jpg

Jorge Taniado was a respected man in the community. He worked for three months on the library until the fire struck. Now, he works part-time as a farmer and part-time as a construction worker. But after the disaster struck, Jorge threw down his shovel and hammer and decided to go into politics. With his good reputation and prosperous views, he was determined to turn San Bugatta from a communist slum into a capitalist economic powerhouse.

During the day, Jorge would walk around the village passing out pamphlets and flyers to everyone.

(Does this story remind you of another CJ? *Cough*Arkangelsk*Cough*2.gif)That's all for now. Stay tuned for tomorrow's update!44.gif

Soon enough, people began to respond to the whole uprising of political threat towards Alfredo. Some took the situation seriously and became hardcore followers of Jorge and took action. They rallied up some of the newly hired firefighters and told them to go on strike to hurt Alfredo's reputation and image as mayor. The strike became so effective, that even the news channels were reporting on them.

    strike2bd.jpg

Eventually, Jorge's followers planned something worse. Arson. They set fire to a nearby farm in order for two things to happen. One was to get their point across to both the people and Alfredo that they were serious. And second, was to humiliate Alfredo for his carelessness for not constructing a firehouse earlier, before the first fire had started.

And here's a nice regional shot.

Once again, the construction workers went back to building the marketplace and the library. Most of the bungalows were finished except for a few here and there. But all in all, the workers were doing a good job of finishing on time, even with all the stuff that's been going on.

    And the reconstruction project:

    reconstruction5sz.jpg

A new poll came out today and it showed who was in the lead for the position of mayor of San Bugatta.

    politicalcahrt4fg.jpg

Alfredo's followers seemed to have left him for Jorge. The polls came out very close, but who knows. In the end it what matters most to the citizens.

Finally the library was completed! Alfredo thought of this as a victory, but in reality it wasn't. Hardly anyone went to the library to read or do anything at all.

    libandmrkt2kx.jpg

And due to escalating political tension, Alfredo was forced into starting new constructions for the citizens, however, construction worker morale was very low.

    newcomplex3ph.jpg

And another very important construction began as well.

    medicalsite3nz.jpg

This other construction was the turning point in Sun Bugatta. It was the first destruction of a farm for the construction of commercial business.

    closedfarm8bt.jpg

With half the construction of the markeplace done, the standard of living had gone up. People were being paid more in the commercial businesses as opposed to the farming industry.

    incomechart1br.jpg

And last, but not least, the influence map. This map shows which candidate has the most influence in certain areas of a village, town, city, etc.

You would think Alfredo would get more support since Jorge's supporters are arsonists....

I love the ammount of detail in this journal, and those construction lots are wonderful!

Hehe, yeah, but I guess the citizens saw the errors in his [Alfredo's] ways. And thanks!1.gif
