To Swamper77: I like the new station a ton. I could really survive easily without adding a subway to the station as you can convert elevated rail and passenger rail both to the subways and if you have a subway system and sims aer traveling towards the HSRP station they will get there just the same. However I would really like either a side GLR hub connected to the station or mabye one that moves through the center of the sides with no track connections. I like GLR alot cause it is very versatile and cool looking. The only thing I don't like about GLR is there is no bridges, overpasses or underpasses . Otherwise GLR rocks and the HSRP station is incredibly useful and can transport a very large city's worth of people pretty much wherever they need to go.

It can't be the Euro road mod because look at this:

This picture is from a few pages back.

Thanks for your attention Adm Lee J.E. Braden

@Asimov: The HSRP and rail networks are completely different from each other so this wouldn't work too well. The HSRP replaces the monorail network in the game. All the pathfiles for the two networks would have to be redone for this to work (over 100 pathfiles!).

@Jerebannus and Braden: You wouldn't happen to have the Japanese mod that replaces the monorail with a high-speed bullet train installed, would you? This is the only mod that I can think of that would conflict with it.

@Mikemac: A GLR version could be possible, but I would have to talk with 3ddz first. The rail connection would probably be replaced by it. You can use the elevated rail network to build bridges for the GLR and use the ramp puzzle piece to connect the GLR to the elevated rail bridge.

Swamper, I may have it somewhere, I got a lot of Japanese stuff.

EDIT: Akiko found it for me, I had part of it installed. Now, I have noticed that the ANT and GLR have not been made yet.

It would also be nice to get a puzzle piece for the GLR with HSR going over it instead of having the to use the monorail piece, it looks really bad.

Is the cost that is shows the actual one(in the above posted picture)? $1000 pre piece and $100 pre month! i'd pay maybe half that, $100 pre month is way to much money, you'd need eith big cities or cheats!

Jere, I do not anymore, just the ANT and GLR ones are not showing, which causes a nix for now, I use GLR a lot in my smaller cities

@Jerebannus: You may have to relay those sections/crossings for them to appear correctly.

@Braden: For the next release, it should be addressed. I think all that is needed is some replacement models that overrides the NAM models. I'll get them sent to 3ddz as soon as I finish them.

I believe that entry has always been wrong.. I suppose its in the .exe files from Maxis.. If I recall the ACTUAL charge it is 1000 install and 30 per month per segment  If you don't have HSR installed it  is also wrong for monorail

One question, I first used this HSR last night and I couldn't make the dragging through out the mountains. Is there any way the rail line goes through the mountains on a tunnel?

The HSRP currently has a very low slope tolerance. The default monorail system was a little more forgiving about slopes. You do need a rather steep hill or high cliff to build a tunnel for the monorail system. The game's default monorail tunnel is ~22.4 meters high at the top of the model.

i think using the monorail pieces as the high speed project is the best idea. we already have glr, subway and elevated rail for MRT stuff, and the monorail seems to be like a waste. (highly apology for the monorail lovers) and just look at the train skins for monorail, it just perfectly match the high speed trains, right? thank god that it's gonna be draggable..

Yes the slope is rather restrictive at about 4% max grade, but I believe the team is going to try to relax that to about 8% in the final release. They are striving for a good mix between "realism" and playability.

As swamper pointed out, you can make tunnels with the HSR.. I have used several in my various city layouts.. but the tunnel will not much obviate the slope problem if you wish it to change levels.. It's pretty much aimed at just going through on the level (or near so).

The monorail also allowed tunnels.

I never used the Monorail SC4boy, never liked it, to me monorails (in that form) are better for theme parks, the MagLev is the only sort of "monorail" I like
