Calling all BATers! I have a unique request!

To all you BATers out there who need a slight change of pace I have something for you.

Another pet project I am on is upgrading the graphics engine and they need some super genius!

http://www.openttd.org is the main project. An Opensource version of the classic Transport Tycoon game. But they want to completely dissolve the need of the original graphics to really branch out. They're working on a 32bpp graphics engine and need to redo the current graphics (8 bit PCX 46.gif&nbsp2.gif

Now I know, you all are thinking, WTF? but I know the genius that resides on these forums can whip out the GOOD STUFF in NO TIME. Plus it just will show that community how unBELIEVABLY talented this one is.

*pokes SG and others*

http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/GFXDev:Main_Page is THE page to start from. It'll cover everything from What is needed to how to do it.

I would appreciated it beyond words if there were a couple people willing to work a few hours on some items. It's so similar to SC4 that I don't think a TON of work would be required.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

*shakes head* Oy, knaves...20.gif

Please place ALL building requests into the OFFICIAL BAT request thread! Thank you!

It does not matter how important/unusual the request is. Rules are rules.19.gif

Everyone thinks their stuff is so special and/or unique. Geez. Maybe we'll get lucky and a moderator will close this thread.

Believe in only what you can prove.

Isn't advertising a website like this one against the rules? I'm not sure but I thought it was...

    This isn't a BAT request.

And I think I've contributed enough to this community to be able to ask such a thing. I was one of the people who started the modding community.

    FINALLY!!

It's an OpenSource clone of TTD released WAY back. Looks sorta like SC2k though.

Currently they're exporting out of Blender... but I think any OBJ works.

Using pre-rendered images for most everything I think. Much to my dismay.

many moderators know i find the BAT request thread a good try to solve problems.... but they don't   its pretty useless and waste of bandwith  (pictures)

on the other side it would be extremely annoying to see those BAT requests popping up everywhere

Hmmm...well this is a hard decision I have to make.
This would depend on wether you (Buggi) are working on the project or at least have people working on it at all. If thats not the case you can count this thread closed, cause this is the BAT showcase forum, meaning you showcase your work 2.gif

Contact me about it, untill then
