This will be a mini cj of a city that was a precursor to Aquaville.  I no longer work on this city, but I wanted to post some pictures of it before I destroyed it!

Wow, very good start.  If you don't mind suggestion.  I have one.  It doesn't look like you have the bridge modd.  You may want to check it out.  It makes the bridges look a little more reatistic in my opinion.  And why did you make the bridges across the river avenues when there is highways before and after?  Just a question.  Other than that I can't wait for more pics.

Really nice looking work! I have a question though. Are all those skyscrapers plopped BATs? I ask because the development looks to be about the same as a city I am working on, but I have nothing taller than a mid-rise condo. Keep up the good work.

Damn, sad to see beauty being destroyed. Anyway, I think this city has a very succesful balance of skyscrapers and large open green areas. It's rare to see it so well done. Especially the resident area north of the river looks like a nice place to live.

 

You better have something VERY GOOD up your sleeves to justify the destuction of such a pearl!!

 

Can't wait to see it..

Update!!

First of all, let me clear something up...I haven't destroyed this city yet.  I just stopped working on it because I had gotten so many new BATs that I liked better than the ones I had been using in this city, and I had done a lot of work in the lot editor making details and doing things such as changing the parking lot textures to match the style I like, that I didn't feel like going back through and changing everything.  But, I do like the overall look of this city, so I decided to share the pictures I have of it with you, so that's what i'm doing!!  And if you like this city, please stop by and take a look at my new city, Aquaville!

 

sloppet - Thanks for being the first to respond!  I currently only have about 40 pics of this city, but I could take more if needed.

Fabiocb - Thanks!  I've never been to Vancouver, but i'll take your word for it!

CDI-spy - Thank you!  It looks nice in the zoomed out pics, but when I show you some closer ones you will see that it is lacking some of the detail that Aquaville has.  But I really appreciate the compliment!

Sisu - I haven't destroyed it, and thank you for posting here and in Aquaville!

Mr Piggy - Thank you, and this was one of my favorite downtowns I had made!

rooker1 - Thank you, and I will have to check that bridge mod out!  And about the highway bridges, they don't change to avenues when they cross the river, it just looks that way in the far away zoom, don't know why...I guess I should have picked a different bridge style!!

mudspreader - Thanks, and yes most of my downtown scrapers are plopped because I try to make my downtowns have a distinct look that I can only get by plopping!

It reminds me a lot of Aquaville with the relationship between the downtown and the suburbs.  I really like the avenues that follow the river.
