N_O_Body: The Granurian zukes, like all zukes, have 5 fingers on each hand, as well as a thumb on each had. The count by using the spaces between the fingers, of which there are 8. (they ignore the space between the fingers and the thumb.)

*Throws some Thuh on a table and sees if anyone will go for it.*

Hmm, lunch time.

Walks over to autoserver and starts to think.
Suddenly, a large hamburger with lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and cheese appears next to a side of nicely spiced fries.
Walks back to bar.
Walks over to autoserver again.
A one-liter chocolate milkshake with an extra long straw materializes.
Walks back to bar.

What's up with all this stuff about a pickle?

@hym: Well, I've gone some distance now into the Python tutorial. I think you'll like it, but it will pay to know VB.Net first. I hope your dad is going to put in VS.NET and not just VB.NET as it is only one language. VS has 'em all: C++ (includes C), C#, J# (not Java, exactly), the SQL server desktop engine, VB (7 or .NET whichever you prefer to call it). Several other good utilities, including a nice Icon editor. If you really want Java, download the freebie from Sun Microsystems (I think you can still get it free) along with the community version of Forte. With GIMP and all the others you are into a whiz-bang of a learning curve. If you need help, PM me and we'll work over e-mail.

@MsD: Lurk as much as you like. The pickle arrives on the floor and explodes, splashing vid with juice and pickle guts.

@ zmveliger: Well, I hope somebody will clean up this mess.

@sloppet: Clearly, you didn't notice the large Christmas fruit cake on the bar next to the sauce boat of warm caramel sauce. Help yourself.

@ Leech10: Now that takes some imagination. Congratulations on your new zukes. Thuh? Translate, O sage!

@ Voar Tok: Fortunately the fate of the pickle is sealed.

Thanks to gggg we have advanced a page.

@hym: No, I didn't forget it especially, I just don't remember stuff like that in general anymore. My storage is filtered against learning new language stuff that doesn't have an application in my current world. I am busy learning Python, which is a programming language for use with one of my graphics editors, and this takes all my language memory capacity.

Lauren the Muphridian telekineticly moves the pickle around the room and makes it look like it is dancing, then makes it land in vid's hamburger.

@N_O_Body: *autoclean function is cleaning the mess* I won't have to clean it...

Well, it looks like I'll have to BAT another Moose sign for my personal use! About Sangria, it's one of my few specialites... In fact, I'm making 3 liters of the nectar almost each Christmas since... probably 2000. A kind of new tradition. This year, it will change a little bit since I'll make it for the 31st. Be advised: if you put a single drop of another liquid than wine in Sangria, then it's not a real one!

@your_adress_here: you're very brave to try analysing zuke's language. I'm sure that if a translator position opens up, you'll be considered.

@Fred_Ginger: yes, shame on us!18.gif About the global view, I wonder what you mean exactly. Is it on a specific topic?

About Capitalismas: a few years ago, my family decided to celebrate Christmas without gifts. What a nice thing! We're keeping what's more important: being together and have a good time. The only exception is for my god-daughter since it's the our first Christmas together (I've been in Africa last year for her first Christmas, a heartbreaking situation). I have a special gift for her: a a book with pictures with both French and English words! It's never too early to learn English...

Weather here: we didn't have a single drop of rain since it stayed cold the whole week. We have plenty of snow left on the ground (0.5 to 1 m). Today, between -8 and -2 C, cloudy and a fluffy snow is suppose to be falling tonight. That's typical and fantastic Christmas conditions...

So the timing is right for...

Leech10: It would appear the the zukes might need to be taught some manners.9.gif  I'm sure that there is plenty of turkey to go around.

zmveliger: That was a really cool looking picture.

@MsD: I see you enjoy playing with the pickles.44.gif

@N_O_Body: Yes, my dad is going to install VS.Net (it's 5 discs).  My dad, brother, and I have been talking about changing out the family computer when we get the DSL installed.  My dad is in favor of simply swapping the hard drives, but I'm going to see if I can convince him to wipe out the data and install the hard drive in the new computer and reinstall Windows and the like (the OS is rotting--2 random reboots in one day and our first Blue Screen of Death ever on this machine).  If I can do that, I'll see if I can convince him to let me re-install Office 2002 and let me install VS.Net (I'll have to clean disc 5 as our drive can't read it through all of the melted plastic on it).  If he installs it, he'll only install the stuff he thinks is pertinent; if I install it, all of Office will be installed and everything in VS.Net except for the web projects software will get installed (the web projects poses a security risk).

    @Eastwinn: I love the White Christmas spoof.17.gif

@ephorex:  Glad to be of service then.

@zmveliger: I like the Moose berry picture.
