I'm back in gggg's generation which I can't seem to find o TMS's list but anyway, that april fool's choke sounded awsome!

My registration falls into the NAM generation (although I can't remember that I 've already heard from the NAM back then). But my most active time started in the ST 4.0 generation. And that's something a remeber very well: The site looked fresher from one day to another...

I came to be in the late days of Digby. About the same time as Dev. I am actually part of the Rush Hour era. I do remember everyone else having it and me having to wait until Xmas to get it. And I think I joined pre-RH cos there was alot of hype about it. This was with my first account Panda_boy1 btw.

Ahh April Fools 04. I remember literally crying at the prospect of having to pay to visit the site, not to mention my very passionate post.

Wow, it seems the ST Aprils Fools stunt has become quite famous. Google Simtropolis April and youll find there are quite a few forum threads about it.

I heard about the April Fools Joke of '04. I can't believe that I missed it and doubt that Dirk will do so this year. Everyone will be suspecting it (except some newbies). Maybe it will happen the day after?

anyway April Fools 04 got me for like 15 mins... I was at school and i signed on and i seriously had thought i had typed the wrong site in! lol then i kept trying to get the right one and then i was ok... so i guess this is serious and then i went and read the whole thing and when i got to the bottom it said something in small print... but i forgot what it was... it was something around the lines of GOTCHA! lol and i was rolling lol

TMS list is good...the only thing that I think could be changed would change luminaries to everyone who was a member pre-SimTropolis.com, that would be everyone on the SimGolf and EZboard forums. You cold make the Jan-Mar 03 group ST Seniors or something...idk...

According to that list I'm a BAT Boomer guy, I remember I really lurked tons of ST during March and finally when I got my computer and got RH working (after half a year of it not) I decided to join ST. As of my self I see me in the first half of the 2004 crowed

Hmmm...I come at the end of the Simtropolis 4.0 generation. Now, I remember that the first building to be loaded in my tenure was Eburress's Windespear Arena. I had no idea how STEX worked, and I thought they had alwayd been there and that this was a first-party site.

Could I be any farther off?

 

I made a few posts every now and down, but I only started becoming really active in the latter part of last year. I also rememebr I tried to join in spetember 04', but it didn't work for some reason.

Bah...everyone here who joined in '03 and early '04 are talking about things I don't know about!!

Arrggghhh...lurking is dangerous...it would've been awesome to have talked to all the older members (though I remember many of their posts) and experienced the proposition, the April Fool's joke, the BATs making it big, the introduction of RH etc.

 

Ahh...somehow I think we're missing that lively, personal touch of yesteryear.

 

I wanna go back to '03!!!!

Not much of a poster here more of a shadow, there was a time i didnt have a computer for a year. But I'm in the MEX generation? not sure i remember that intirely,

Mainly when when the dawn of modding SC4 started with raph and darkmatter and the likes, also the day ST hit 10,000 member!

looking at it now 3 years subscribed to a forum is a long time. Wish I tried to contribute more since then, but now I'm learning to use the BAT and that might change.

Hehe, I'm not really sure which generation I belong to. I guess I'm a relitively new generationm, although I joined along time ago, I wasn't active until last year.

Acording to TMS's scale I'm probably was there during the Second Boom. Or late CJ revolution. Of course I didn't get into the CJ action until alot later.

actually max you were from the NAM Generation which with the BAT Boomers was one of the most 'Booming' times at ST where many of the members around today and many members of the past came in...

i think that was when ST really hit its growth but then it kinda lulled for a bit but once again toward the end of last year membership skyrocketed again...

its almost like RL now with the Babies of the Boomers now
