Simtropolis Chat Rules:

Keep it clean. Profanity is not allowed. Don't use language you wouldn't use around your mother or small children.

 

Capitalize whole phrases is considered rude and also spam.

 

Use of Obscene linkage or Obscene language in the chat will result a ban from the chat, or a permanent ban from the website. 

 

The primary language of Simtropolis Chat is English. If you would like to speak in another language, we ask that you open your own room.

No talk promoting piracy is allowed. If you admit to using pirated software, you may have your account temporarily banned from chat.

The Golden Rule applies! Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Religious and/or political debates are only to be held in rooms created solely for that topic.

Clones are only allowed when used in separate rooms.

Users are not to ask to become an op, mod, admin, or dirktator. If you have what it takes, you will be chosen.

Excessive repetition of words, symbols, numbers, etc is also considered spamming.

Do not attack another person, their heritage, their religion, their ethnicity, their sex, or their homeland. There is no tolerance for prejudice.

Respect others. Deliberate provocation of other users is not allowed. We reserve the right to exclude mean people. (Just be nice).

This is a PG-13 room. Material is expected to be suitable for everyone.

Chronic abuse of these rules will result in the user being banned from chat.

Dudy, nice one. Is there anyway to force new members to read this before they join and all existing members to read it each year. Some posts I've seen that have gotten deleted were disturbing to say the least. Thanks for keeping the peace.

its very nice to have a good chat, as a PG 13 chatroom, friendly and nice people are always welcome, thats why there are rules for the chatroom, to keep PG13. even if you are older but respect the others.

I strongly support that rule. That is one of the most important rules.

Proposed Ammendment XXVI-XXV (1)

-Political and Religious discussions should be excluded completely from chat (except when you pm yourself)
-Taunting shall only be used if the need arises (if they act stupid publicly, they deserved it)
-No stelaing the towels. Dirk pays good money for those!

-No chat operator has the right to wrongfully freeze or ban you. If you are being punished, you have a reason to know why. Exceptions: Dirk and anybody Dirk authorizes to randomly punish people.
