Hello, Superchad. This is Riffsyphon1024. I have returned. I am a former member of Simtropolis and a newfound member of Wikipedia. I am onto what you have been doing there, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me at either this website or much easier my user page at Wikipedia.

I must state that if you post a link for the sole opportunity to get members, it is classified as spam.
If however, your intentions are to provide the public with a resource that has much more info on the subject in question, then it is valid to post a link to that site, and also as a source of information.

Through this thread, maybe?

One of Wikipedia's rules is to not use the site for self promotion.

EDIT: SuperChad, I have a great idea for what we can do in the way of BATs. We could release a set of BATs from Phoenix, Arizona! It's got a few nice buildings, like the Hyatt Regancy, Bank One, Bank of America, US Bank Center, Viad Tower, etc. What do you say?

Yeah, I agree! A set of Pheonix BATs would be pretty cool!

Hi people,

I am the brother of superchad. I will be joining the superchad productions team, and we are curently working on a model of the Viad Tower in Pheonix. My favorite modeling program is 3ds max and SC4 only uses .gmax files. Is there anyway I can convert the .3ds to .gmax files?

Yes...

Once the 3ds file is finished,
....open the BAT (gmax),on top left click on file, scroll down to import....click on and it is done. Now you can see it in the BAT and add the textures.2.gif

I have 3ds max 7, and it saves as a .max or .chr file and there is no option to save as a different type, can that be converted to gmax?

If you want, you can render to SC4Model directly. Use the BAT for 3DS Max . Note: I don't have 3DS Max, so I don't know what it'll do to the program, if it'll work, etc.

Well, try using GMAX. It should not be much different than your usual MAX modeling experience.

ok, i'll try bat for max and i don't want to use gmax because it has more features but i guess if BAT for max doesn't work i will have to use gmax.

Too complicated ? All you have to do is click on the browse button and find your picture, click upload and the it will give you a list of links, find the one that says direct link to image, and then copy that link, and then use the insert images into this reply and you should be good.

i have a skyscraper bated it is about 55 stories, but we are having difficulty getting it into the game, it is just a draft render, but it looks great, i also will need 2 people to add advanced detail to the final version, 2 people for night lightin, and 2 people to test the finsihed product.

here is the picture, it needs some advanced detail on the edges to make observation decks, and some bat lighting, but it still looks great without them.

we are still working on the viad tower, trying to figure out the demensions. Also I have made a quick windmill feild like superchad was talking about see how you like it. Does anyone know how to make the windmills turn? Is it just a repeating animation? Here are some pics 1st one is the Viad tower from Phoenix, AZ and the second is a farclan_elite BAT of a Windmill feild.
