AHOY EVERYONE! Yup, its me again...
SO, after getting my region back, (thanks again guys!) have spent the last few weeks going through it and, well, considering it was from 2007... Realizing I have come a LONG way as far as how i plan out and design cities... As such, I am feeling a need to start fresh and to remake the region..
Which... is something i did a lot back in the day... Back when I had photoshop to make custom versions of the bitmap needed... I, did read some guides and.. Yeah I think i need some help...
I Pulled the link to my region when it was last uploaded  So i could get the original greyscale jpg...

but to make new City Sizes, i need to make a new bitmap, which... I do not seem able to do :/
So here i am asking for help for, something that is I am sure painfully easy to do -_-

A, wanting a bitmap that is able to give me a city make up like below... I wanted to carry over the main city i'd built originally... and then redo the other cities, but in larger spaces vs what i had originally.

You will need to re-render the map with the new config.bmp in place and then you can import any old city tiles if they are the same size as the new place for them. I presume we are doing medium and large and none of those are small tiles.

Try this: config.bmp

As someone mentioned in the comments of your file: Rename CrossroadsIsland2.jpg to CrossroadsIsland2.bmp and then render it. *;)

IT WORKED! thank you so much! sorry i did not get back to you earlier.. I HAD Picked the correct file earlier.. i realized the part i was missing.... Simply renaming it 'BMP' doesnt actually change the file lol.  I had to open up MSPAINT and do a SAVE-AS to actually convert it to a BMP. once there BAM@ jujst what i needed!

    That’s interesting. *:)

Ofc, Paint is pretty forgiving. It’ll open files even if the extension doesn’t match the actual format and that's why Save-As worked. *;)

I checked the STEX file and it’s definitely BMP in structure. The first two bytes in hex are 42 4D (‘BM’), which tells us it is a bitmap. A true JPG would start with FF D8 FF.

So, it looks like the file was mislabeled as .jpg but was always a BMP under the hood.
