I am bit new to the game and as my city advances - Some buildings become unabandoned because of Low Land Value...

So what can I do to make them stay - increased density placed parks and soccer playgrounds but still they leave

Thanks in advance

The simulator often pushes towards higher wealth developments, even when the conditions aren’t quite right. Assuming that you will get a handle on fixing that before the buildings abandon. You need a combination of things to support R$$$ sims and that starts with jobs for them. If you don’t have sufficient I-HT and CO buildings this may be an issue. Likewise education levels need to be good, 120 EQ min really, above 150 is better. Then it needs to be in a tract where the mayor rating is good, pollution is low and has good access to well funded services like Police, Fire and Hospitals. Land Value is a good indicator of all these things, as having them will make areas higher value. Be sure to take a peek at the graphs and other data views to see how parts of your city shape up.

There are mods intended to make the simulator more picky before growing R$$$. Also to stop buildings from upgrading from lower wealths if they are already established. Not forgetting the I-HT fix, without which there is a bug that prevents them from employing R$$$ sims, which is kinda mandatory for everyone.

Scrub all that, I had mistakenly thought this was about SimCity 4, not the 2013 version.

Although the general issue is probably much the same, for high wealth residents they want to have good services, jobs they can get to and plenty of greenery or things to do. Low Land Value suggests that the area is not so well covered by services and leisure or has pollution/noise problems.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

This topic is in the SC2013 Forum. Does it follow the same pattern of mods as SC4? :uhm:
