Trouble using NAM and PEG mods together [Solved]

Hi everyone, I have been having some trouble at the moment using the Network Addon Mod and PEG plugins , specifically the Pond and Stream deluxe kits. I first downloaded the PEG stream and pond kit which worked perfectly fine until I downloaded the NAM. Since then, my ponds/streams/landscaping have either disappeared or have been replaced with the cardboard-box things... I've tried removing and redownloading the PEG mods to my plugin folder, but alas it hasn't worked or reappeared. Does anyone have any advice regarding this, and how I can keep both mods? I am using a macbook. Thanks in advance!

It could be possible that this is an ID conflict. PEG made those lots in the very early days, when there wasn't a proper texture index yet, so maybe it overlaps with the NAM somehow. The cardboard box usually is a sign that some model is missing, though, so you better make sure it's really the NAM (remove the NAM folder from your plugins temporarily and check if the PEG stuff works again).

ID Conflict doesn't really make any sense to me, for context I'm working on Ponds and Streams as the next PEG Collection and so I placed every piece from both sets in a Plugins folder with NAM48 and saw no problems. I then scanned the folder with DataNode and saw no S3D conflicts whatsoever, for a brown box to appear you need a valid Exemplar pointing to an S3D model that doesn't exist. So that tells me this is nothing to do with textures and that overrides are not the problem, again if there was a conflict you wouldn't get a brown box, simply the wrong model would appear.

I think it more likely that something is up, given the OP is using a MacBook, I guess it's safe to assume you are running the Mac version of SC4? Which one would be my first question and which version of MacOS is in use.

The Mac version has a number of very odd issues relating to Plugins and if you have not DATPacked the NAM or even more generally, I'm betting not all the information is loading. Because one issue that's plagued Mac users is a limit to the number of actual files/folders the game is able to load in Plugins. These days the NAM has grown so large that by itself you are going to have problems here.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Thanks to all who responded to this. I am using simcity4 through steam, so not the mac version downloaded from the app store. Fortunately, with a little reshuffling of the plugins folder, I managed to sort it. Thanks again for the help :)
