How to Load SC4 Deluxe with 1 CPU

Does anybody know how to edit SC4 with only 1 CPU.

I lost the Amazon SC4 Deluxe software and I have yet to successfully load SC4.

First, be sure to purchase SC4 from GOG or Steam.

After you have done that follow this tutorial to set up SC4

To surmise, there are two main methods of achieving this:

You can use @Null 45's handy SC4 CPU Options DLL plugin which does the job well. Alternatively, it's possible to set the -CPUcount:1 command line switch manually for the game to recognise. See the useful post @rsc204 made here explaining where to add command line options for different versions of SC4.

Speaking of which, if you're looking for a new version of the game, I highly recommend the GOG version (especially when on sale).
This is a fully-patched digital edition of SC4 Deluxe and it's completely DRM free.
