Hello everyone!

So i decided to open my own thread here to show you my work and to give some backstory on my ongoing project as well. This will also be and index for all my already uploaded content.

I expect some feedback from you guys, tips, opinions, criticisms and requests. Everything will be welcome.

So, what am I working on? As some of you may have noticed i recently uploaded two houses packs called Salento Houses Pack. But what I'm talking about when i say Salento? Well, long story short, that's the place where i come from, a little region (not an actual one, most like and historic region) in the bigger Apulia, South Italy. The thing Is, I recently left Salento some years ago and moved to a bigger city in the north. This Is when my approach to SimCity changed. I started to feel the need to recreate those places. I know, I'm a nostalgic guy. So i spent so much time collecting stuff from Simtropolis and SC4D, but nothing seems to really fit the style I'm looking for.

So here i am, finally an active member of this beautiful community, trying to Bat the houses i always saw.

Let's start!:8)

I really like your buildings! Even though they're italian themed, they help me a lot in my latin american region

I believe indeed that latin and south-italian architecture share some (if not many) traits in common, that's why i also always collect latin stuff frome the exchange*:D

Can you show us a preview render as its hard to see how it will look in viewport renders? :)

Indeed, a preview render in the viewport is the best way to judge.
As much as I love the 3D views of BATs, they can be deceptive and not entirely indicative on what things will look like in-game.
I find that when I am BATting, I am preview rendering once at least every five or ten minutes, to see what is "really" going on...

GOOD TEXTURES ARE MADE, NOT FOUND.
(I get tired of saying that in BAT threads.)

Ehi guys! Sorry for the late reply, but it's been a busy few days. Yet, somehow, I managed to get my hands on the project a little. To be honest it's been a little demanding house, both due to my busy schedule and the fact that I'm working on 3ds Max (still learning, although is very similar to gmax). However, I'm finally here to satisfy your requests:8)

Here's the preview render of the project, as it appear so far (it's obviously not finished yet). Not a lot of work to be done, but the little things and details that make a scene come really alive are still missing (and some texture too of course). Also I'm still undecided whether to model the gardens directly on 3ds max or not. Your opinions?

The model is looking very nice imo! I would maybe add a bit more of "dirtness" in the walls, what do you think? You could do a test, add a bit of noise, some grunge/weathering texture to see what it looks like (and then if you're not happy with the results you can just ignore it ofc lol)

But the model itself is looking reaaaally good!

I wanted to keep it more clean as possibile, as it is intended to be a R$$$ house, but I think you are actually right, especially the yellow one seems to be a bit too much "flat". I will surely experiment with texture, once I'm done with the model.

Keep in mind that i'm not that skilled when It comes to texturing:rofl:

Ehi guys, as a mentioned before, I wanted to try to model the garden directly into 3ds Max. Since I'm a very noob BATer, this is taking a long time. Also I'm not very happy with the result, but not sad either, let's say on average happy *

Well, i let the screenshot do the talking. IMG_20241031_133225.jpg.d0f012287bd06d9fd8421609dac90417.jpg
