Problem with SFBT Street Replacement Mod

This is a problem I've noticed with the SFBT street replacement mod. It's been brought up in other threads before, but from what I've found it doesn't look like those conversations ever converged on an answer. I've posted the relevant portion of the readme here:

Per the instruction, I have only installed one of the tree files at a time. However, regardless of which individual file I use, it looks like every possible tree shows up in a random mixture, rather than just the desired, uniform set as depicted in the example images.

I figured that it might be some kind of issue with loading order, but I've tried organizing and renaming the files in every way I can think of, but still the result is the same. The only other thing I can think is that the mod is picking up trees from elsewhere in my plugins folder. For example, right now I only have the SFBT_CP_Deciduous_Trees.dat file installed, but I know I have all the other trees installed as dependencies for other mods/lots. So perhaps just because I haven't installed the included SFBT tree props, the mod files are still finding them? Not sure if that makes sense.

A separate but (I think) related problem, is that this mod seems to be unaffected by the Maxis Tree HD Replacement mod. The original Maxis trees are still showing up here, including palm trees despite those being removed everywhere else. This hasn't been a problem for other T21 mods, but is for this one.

Finally, all of these same issues are present with the SFBT Diagonal Filler lots as well, which uses the street replacement mod as a dependency. I assume solving the problem with the latter will solve the problem with the former as well.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this is just a reading comprehension failure on my part.

Check your installation of the SFBT Essentials. They contain the same tree families as the Street side mod,  so that they can be used on other lots such as the diagonal fillers I presume. You need to remove any unwanted trees from the SFBT Essentials, accordingly. If this is not the case, maybe you have a datpacked copy of those tree families in your plugins.

This should also resolve the HD replacement issue, as long as you selected the matching replacement files.

Ah, you were completely correct about the SFBT essentials. That seems to be what the issue was. Thank you for the help.

I realized that the SFBT essentials readme explicitly references the street replacement mod, so that's my bad for not reading thoroughly.
