I have been away for a while, as I started a new career as a Software QA Engineer. It was a big change for me, and I had to focus on learning the ropes of my new role. But now I have some free time, and I decided to revive my YouTube channel and make a new Journal. It’s just a hobby for me, but I enjoy sharing my passion for city building games. And what better time to do that than now, when Cities Skylines 2 is coming soon!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let me tell you about my current project: Woodford County. This is a British themed city that I am creating in Cities Skylines, using some amazing mods and assets from the workshop. Before I show you some screenshots, let me give you some background information about this county and its towns.

Woodford County is located in a fertile area with plenty of farmland and woodland. Most of the towns started as small farming villages, but they grew over time as they embraced agriculture as their main industry. However, not everyone is happy with this status quo. Some people in the county want to make it more eco-friendly and sustainable, while others want to attract more tourists and newcomers to showcase the beauty and charm of living here.

The culture and lifestyle of Woodford County are a mix of old and new. Some people are still stuck in the 90s or 2000s, while others are more progressive and open-minded. There is a lot of diversity and variety in this county, which makes it interesting and lively.

The future and goals of Woodford County are not clear yet. There are many challenges and opportunities ahead, and I need your help to make the best decisions for this county. I want to recruit some board members who can assist me with planning, budgeting, and managing the projects that will shape the destiny of Woodford County.

But enough talking for now. Let me show you some pictures of what I have done so far. Here are some images of Woodford County that I created (( See attached images))

I hope you like what you see, and I hope you will join me on this journey of creating Woodford County in Cities Skylines. Stay tuned for more updates and watch out for videos on my YouTube channel coming soon but for now I more then happy to write my journey.

Woodford County High School: A Community in Crisis or a Community in Progress?

Hello, fellow Woodford County residents! I’m thrilled to see that you are interested in our county and its development. I have some exciting news and some urgent issues to share with you.

As you may have heard, one of the high schools in our county has been a hot topic in the community lately. Some people see it as a great asset, while others see it as a great problem. Let me tell you why.

The school is modern, spacious, and well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It offers various courses and extracurricular activities, providing students with a well-rounded education. Just today, we opened a few new five-side pitches for the residents to enjoy. The pitches are nestled in a verdant oasis just a stone’s throw away from the high school, with plenty of green space and scenic views. They are perfect for a quick game, providing a safe and fun environment for people of all ages to stay active and healthy.

Sounds great, right? Well, not everyone thinks so. Some parents and neighbors have raised concerns that the building and the surrounding area are overcrowded and unsafe. They say that the school needs more space to accommodate the growing number of students and staff. They also say that some homes need to be demolished to make room for the expansion.

This has sparked a heated debate in the community. What should we do about the school? There are two main options:

    • Expand the school on its current site. This would mean:
      • More facilities and opportunities for students and residents
      • Less disruption and cost than relocating
      • Some homes being destroyed and some people being displaced
      • Less green space and more traffic congestion
    • Relocate the school to another site. This would mean:
      • A new location with more space and potential
      • More time and money spent on planning and building
      • No homes being demolished and no people being evicted
      • More green space and less traffic congestion

What would you do if your home was threatened by a school expansion project? How would you feel if your child had to change schools because of a relocation plan? These are not easy questions to answer.

Remember the high school causing so much trouble and controversy in our community? The one that was too big for its britches and too small for its ambitions? The one that some people loved and some people hated? Well, guess what? I have finally decided its fate. And it’s a big one.

I have decided to move the school to a new location. Yes, you heard me right. I will pack up the whole school and relocate it to another site. And not just any site, mind you. A site that is perfect for our county and its future. A place that will make everyone happy. Well, almost everyone.

But before I tell you where I will move the school, let me tell you how I decided. It was not easy, let me tell you. I had to consider many factors, such as:

    • The availability and suitability of the land
    • The distance and accessibility from the existing site
    • The impact on the environment and the community
    • The cost and feasibility of the project
    • The feedback and preferences of the stakeholders

I had to weigh the pros and cons of each option carefully and objectively. I had to listen to the opinions and feelings of different people, such as:

    • The students and staff of the school
    • The parents and neighbours of the school
    • The local authorities and businesses
    • The environmentalists and activists
    • The viewers and subscribers of this channel

I had to balance the needs and wants of everyone involved while also keeping in mind the vision and goals of our county. It was a tough challenge, but I was up for it. After all, I’m not just a city builder. I’m also a problem solver.

And so, after much deliberation and consultation, I finally made my choice. And I think you’re going to like it. Because I have chosen to relocate the school to a site near the motorway, where there is plenty of space and potential for development. And when I say plenty, I mean plenty.

This site is vast. It’s bigger than the old site by a factor of ten. It has enough room for a massive building with state-of-the-art facilities, such as:

    • A large auditorium with a stage and a sound system
    • A spacious library with a computer lab and a reading area
    • A modern gymnasium with a swimming pool and a fitness centre
    • A cafeteria with a kitchen and a dining hall
    • A science wing with labs and equipment
    • A music wing with studios and instruments
    • An art wing with galleries and workshops
    • A sports wing with fields and courts

And that’s not all. The site also has enough room for other amenities, such as:

    • A car park with electric charging stations
    • A bus stop with shelters and benches
    • A bike lane with racks and lockers
    • A playground with swings and slides
    • A garden with flowers and trees
    • A pond with fish and ducks

And that’s still not all. The site also has some advantages over the old site, such as:

    • Safe and convenient access to public transport and other amenities
    • A reduced noise and air pollution from the traffic
    • A preserved green space and natural scenery
    • A stimulated economic growth and innovation

Sounds impressive, right? Well, it is.

So, what do you think of my decision? Are you happy or sad? Excited or angry? Curious or bored? Let me know in the comments below. And don’t forget to like this video, subscribe to this channel, and hit that bell icon for more updates on Woodford County.

Thank you for watching, my friends. And remember: Together, we can make Woodford County a better place to live, learn, and work.

Constructing a Greggs Factory in our British-Themed Cities Skylines If you love British culture and cuisine, you will enjoy this video where we build a Greggs factory in our British-themed Cities Skylines. Greggs is a famous bakery chain that offers delicious pastries, sandwiches, cakes and more. Adding a Greggs factory to our city can supply our citizens with fresh and tasty food, boost our economy, and create a realistic and authentic British atmosphere.

In SimCity 3000, is it strategically beneficial to zone dirty industry alongside high-tech industries, even if the demand for both types of industries is equal? Will the coexistence of these contrasting industries have any impact on the city's overall economy and development?
