Are you familiar with the "TV Tropes" project? It's a page which agregates prevalent plot devices and themes known from films and tv shows but also other media like video games.

It turns out SimCity franchise is included on the page and that TVT team has managed to identify around 70 tropes in the game's content.  

Some of them even include mentions of NAM and even the Opera House Fix!
