Error Saving game progress

I have Windows 10 , installed SimCity4 on steam  with NAM 45 as well as SimCity Launcher ( Autosave), but unable to save any progress  Auto or manual. Im not all that computer savy. Can anyone help?

Check your antivirus settings.

I had the same problem once using the launcher. For some reason, one day my antivirus did not allow me to save my cities.

It was because my software treated Launcher as a malicious program which tries to write data onto my hard drive.  This is of course false-positive.

What helped in my case was adding an exception for SC4 Launcher so the game could write the files normally. I am still getting a notification that "An attack has been prevented" but this in turn is because there is a miniature webpage in the Launcher interface and antivir is afraid that it is a malicious popup window.

Thanks,  Ive had this problem before, Launcher. I had only downloaded Launcher as a means to fix problem, and still with auto save, it still says error. Ive also tried changing permissions, and opening as an administrator., all with no luck. I do believe there is something with the downloading of the NAM 45 that is the culprite.

I'd consider this unlikely as then we would receive far more reports from the NAM users. It has to be something else.
