Defense Minister Tommaso Leone have set up a security checkpoint at the entry point of Ruiz Strait Crossing, performing random checks of the people passing the bridge. People understands the concern about criminals and anarchists smuggling weapons or money between the Islands, but many complains about the right to privacy, not to mention the risk of extra traveling time.

Lucas Sanz & Yulia Sanz Aug.1984

Lucas Sanz lost his first wife Josefa Sanz daughter of Greta Navarro in 1973. In 1977 he met Yulia Sanz a co-worker at Schubert Processed Food and moved in with her. Living in her house at Maria Ruiz Road. Today Lucas Sanz is 55 and feels too old to keep up with the speed of the conveyor belt. He left Schubert, to work on the Government owned corn plantation in Cattle Road District. Yulia Sanz (64) also left the factory, now employed at Leone Family Cocoa in Plateau Village. They moved from Yulia’s expensive city house, to an smaller apartment in the village.

Deaths in 1984

Senna Clarke, the daughter son of Juan Gómez, who was Grandson of Carmen Rodrigues. Died from lung cancer, 66 years old. At the time of her death still living with 30 years younger Thorsten Weber. Taking took good care of her, in the last hard months before she passed away. Senna leaves behind her son Brandon and daughter in law Stephania Potalivo.  

Pedro Gómez, the foster son of Juan Gómez, who was Grandson of Carmen Rodrigues, and became foster child of Mónica Roux. Died 65 years old, from an unknown virus. Pedro lost his wife Olivia in 1977 and soon married again with 53 years old unemployed Petra. Pedro Gómez got a job as supervisor at Schubert Processed Food in 1981, where he also worked at the time of his death.

Dolores Sullivan and Alexandre Martin Apr.1985

Dolores Sullivan, daughter of Sister Sullivan, is now 27 years old. Dolores grew up in Fenna Chapel, in 1980 she left the Chapel uneducated. Today Dolores is living with 42 years old miner Alexandre Martin, having no children. Dolores works at The Tobacco Union Plantation in Cepero Town. Living in a small but modern apartment at nearby “New Village”.

August 1985

A new political  party, have collected enough voter support, to be part of the next election. "Green Revolution" belongs to the left, mainly talking about pollution, greenhouse gasses, deforestation, animal right and renewable energy.  

The Embassy of the US was having a visit by several Foreign Service Officers. In need of accommodation, they asked Bounty Islands to build a hotel, partly sponsored by the US. The Hotel was erected close to the American Embassy, next to María Ruiz Memorial.

Javier Weber Oct, 1985

Javier Weber is the son of Norma Ciccone and stepson of Adrián Ciccone, who saved his life at the terrible house fire in 1977, by jumping out of a window. At the time living with his girlfriend Barbara in a cheap apartment in Plateau Village, both working at the Cocoa Plantation. It did not work out for Javier and Barbara. Today he lives with 25 years old Alba. Javier still works at Leone Family Cocoa Plantation. Alba at Leone Accessories, producing leather purses and suitcases. Javier moved in to her apartment at Plateau village two years ago. They haven’t got any children. Javier is now 29 years old.

March 1986

Back in the 1890’s, many poor people at Bounty Islands, losing relatives too early, was hoping the new construction site in the center of Bounty Town was a hospital. It would take almost 100 years for that dream to come through. In march 1986 Bounty City got the Islands first hospital, located in the Harbor District.

Lucas Sullivan May 1986

Sister Sullivan’s son Lucas Sullivan is now 24 years old. He left his mother’s home in Alicja Chapel in 1980, moving into a small 1 room apartment in Lucia Village, to work at Walker Family’s Iron Mine in the South Jungle. In 1983 he met Shana Pérez and she got pregnant. They found a larger apartment in the village and got a wonderful daughter Myrthe, in 1985. Shana is now 24 years old and works at Schubert Cigars Tobacco Plantation.

August 1986

A plant disease, caused by fungi, has spread across Bounty Islands. Doctor Dolores Doherty of Department of Political Science and her team, are working on a fertilizer to protect the plants. As it is right now, about 40% of the harvest has to be discarded.

Verónica & Carlos Sanz, Nov1986 

Carlos Sanz, the son of Josefa and Lucas Sanz, grew up at Cepero Main Waterfront in the late 50’s and early 60’s. He married Verónica in in 1975. After they got their first baby Pete in 1976, Verónica had three miscarriages, before they finally got another son Jimmy in 1983. Sadly, Pete died from a nasty insect bite this summer. The parents are both educated at President Smirnov’s School. Carlos works as a captain at the historical Old Town Fort in Saint Mary’s District. Verónica as Laboratory Technician at Bay Cheese Ltd.  The Family has a large high-class apartment at The Donkey Curve, A very expensive area.

Dea Taka, The Daughter of Heinrich Taka’s 2^nd wife Alexandra Taka, adopted by Heinrich in 1979. Died just 10 years old from a sepsis caused by chickenpox.

Federico Brissi & Nerea, June 1987

Dr. Lorenzo Brissi’s son 56 years old Federico Brissi, who has spent most of his adult live taking day to day jobs at the plantations on Cepero Islands, have settled down as a bus driver. One of four drivers at Line E, from The Donkey Curve to Plateau Village. Federico and Nerea have found a small apartment at the ground floor in the green house on South Cepero Road, Lucia Village. Just across the street from the new Lucia Healthcare Clinic. Also, Nerea has a more permanent job now. Working at Bounty Cigar’s Tobacco Plantation, sorting out the mold eaten leaves.

September 1987

Doctor Dolores Doherty of Department of Political Science, finally found a way to mix the manure with cigar smoke in a way that the plant disease could not cope with.

After a longer period of zero immigration policy. A Immigrant Department decree, say that Bounty Island can again take in some foreign workers over the coming years.

A criminal organization “Loyal to Familia” led by 54 years old Mr. Walsh, currently doing time in Saint Mary’s Prison for some minor offences, have started setting up some legal activities. Likely as cover for a huge drug trade, maybe even connected to illegal activities in the “Hippie Villages”. Loyal to Familia owns the new Shipyard in Harbor District and a suspicious “Diver’s Club” strategically located offshore in the cross-section of Bounty Bay, Ruben Ruíz Strait and the Inland Sea.

Nora Lewandowski Family, Dec. 1987

We last heard from Josefa and Lucas Sanz’s daughter Nora in 1977, at the time living at Cepero Main Waterfront with her husband Jakub Lewandowski and daughter Mona. In 1982 they got another daughter Dorthea. Today Nora is 30 years old working at R. Johnson Cotton. Jakub Lewandowski is 35 working as terminal manager at South Industrial Harbor. The family lives in a modern concrete apartment block at Adrian Pérez Road. Next to the brand-new Museum of Original Culture, hosting exhibitions of native art and handicraft as well as cultural remains from the colonial period. Such as clothing, farming tools, weapons and more from the era.

Deaths in 1988

Laura Weber the daughter of Josefa Sanz and granddaughter of Greta Navarro died 30 years old in a traffic accidence. Leaving her husband Andreas Weber behind. She had no children left after her son Robert died in 1978 just one year old.

May 1988

There is now just 19 months to the next election, another new political party “Humanity First”, located at the right side of the political landscape has collected enough support to participate in the election. Their political points are quite clear, they do not believe in global warning, it is a socialist hoax, they believe in further industrial expansion, whatever the cost may be, as long as our daily living standard is improved. Foreign Minister Jacob Brown (The Right-Libertarians) passed away in 1986 and was replaced by Mónica Fernández.

The political landscape is changed and it will be an interesting election not to mention who can form a stable government.

 

President Thomas Williams continued the economic survey in 1983, now able to presented the additional 5 years. The President is satisfied, most if not all parameters has improved:  

The industrial production has improved with stunning 49% if we compare 1983-87 with 1978-82, the backbone in the yearly surplus. That was as we expected at the cost of some losses in agriculture and mining but far from the same level. Real Estate has also improved, slowly with 7,49%, not as fast but still important as it delivers a stable reliable income. The only weak sector has been the service sector, clearly influenced to some short but deep crises in the money flow, hurting our ability to access the financial marked from 1983 to 1985. Expenses have been controlled and quite stable, of course slowly growing with higher production.

 

Cepero Island have been begging to get is own educational institute for years. President Thomas Williams finally found the founding to open President Williams School, located at the edge of Lucia Village.

 

Sister Sullivan has become quite rich, visitors to the Gaia Monument pays a fee and the “Ordre” itself is doing well. On top of all this she gets paid pretty good from the Council. She has invested in two Oli Wells, pumping black gold in the southern jungle.

Brandon Clarke, Jul. 1988

In the late 60’s Brandon Clarke left his parents to life with actress Stephania Potalivo . He still works at the State Statistics Department, collection reports from Bounty companies to make reports requested by the parliament. Stephania still does an occasional part in a movie, but now holds a permanent position as host on Bounty FM’s show: “Weekly Celebrity Journal”. They still live in an expensive house at the corner of Maria Ruiz Road and The Donkey Curve. Brandon is 44 years old, Stephania 52.

 

Brandon Clarke is the last surviving member of the family after Lucia and Antonio Gómez.

Due to the fact that there will now be six political parties, the parliament have passed a low, increasing its seats to 51.

Mr. Walsh is still contained in Saint Mary's Prison, but is able to control “Loyal to Familia” from there. This month the organization opened a night club in the Harbor District.

Death in 1988

Frank Schubert died 66 years old. Frank was the son of Dirk and Heike Schubert who founded Schubert Cigar Factory in 1948, laying the foundation of what is today, Shubert Holdings. As Franks wife Vera Schubert is now the only owner of the company, she immediately decided to expand the leadership of the company. Adding director of Cepero Power Luuk De Vries and Council Member from Cepero Town Alba Van de Berg, to the board of directors. Vera is 66 years old.

Valeria Sullivan, Jan. 1989

As many young people before her, Valeria was in opposition to her mother. She refused to go to church and disliked the whole idea of Mother Gaia. She left her mother and joined the hippies in the northern mountains in 1981, 19 years old. Today she is the leader of “Stoned Planks”. She is now 26 years old, having neither partner nor children.

June 1989

“Visit Bounty” a small division of the foreign ministry, led by hotel manager Michael Schmidt, has founded the construction of a tourist harbor at the shores of Ruben Ruiz Strait. Bringing the first foreign visitors to previously mentioned Hotel America. Tourism is not at the core of Bounty Islands financial prospect in the nearest future, but this small group of people in the ministry hope to change that little by little. The first Hotel is also owned by the ministry, but others have to take over from here.

Leroy family Aug. 1989

Cristina Leroy’s lost her first husband Noddy Leroy in the 60’s, now living with prison guard Alejandro García. She has lost two sons Jon and Ángel. Only her first-born Hugo is alive.

In the 70’s Cristina changed job from police officer to army officer. Cristina and Alejandro still lived in the old preserved colonial era house next to Fenna Chapel. She is 57 years old he is 42.

 

 

Back in the 1979 Cristina’s son Hugo was living with his wife Britta and son Finn. Britta was studying at Bounty City University. Hugo was a circus artist. Today 43 years old Britta, is a doctor at Bounty City Hospital. Hugo now 38 years old, still a line dancer. Finn Leroy is 15 years old hoping to get into Bounty City University.

Deaths in 1989

Leader of "Nationalist Action" Bella Schmidt died 66 years old, just 7 months before election day, she was replaced by 43 years old Russian immigrant Sasha Krawczyk.

Federico Brissi, son of Lorenzo Brissi, got a brain tumor early in 1988, after a year he quietly passed away in a bed at Bounty City Hospital, paid for by his sister Mafalda Wolf. Federico’s lover Nerea Serrano was by his side until the end. Federico Brissi was 57 years old at the time of his death. Mafalda Wolf died 62 years old, a few months after her brother, after a short period of sickness, probably some kind of virus. Her husband famous artist Andreas Wolf, could not cope with the loss, he was found in his studio, after cutting his wrists. Andreas was 65 at the time of his death. Aurora Brissi is now the only living member of the Brissi bloodline.

The votes were counted:

Green Revolution with Arthur Morel get 16,9 % of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

The Workers Front with Tommaso Leone get 16,9 % of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

The Christian Democrats with Thomas Williams get 17,8% of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

The Right-Libertarians with get Mónica Fernández 16,5% of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

Humanity First with Josefa Castro get 16,3% of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

Nationalist Action with Szymon Woźniak get 15,6% of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

12% of the voters decided to stay home at election day.

After long negotiations Thomas Williams of The Christian Democrats form a narrow government with The Workers Front and The Right-Libertarians sitting on 26 seats and 51,2% of the votes. Thomas Williams will continue as President. Tommaso Leone promoted to Foreign Minister while Mónica Fernández was degraded to Defense Minister.

Ahmed Family Feb.1990

In the late 60’s Martina left her mother to marry Palestinian immigrant Ibrahim Ahmed. After a hard start, they moved to an apartment at “New Village” in the late 70’s, with their three children. The youngest daughter Yasmin still lives at home, studying at President Williams School. The brothers have moved out to form their own families. Martina have now worked at Bounty Cigar's tobacco plantation for more than 10 years. Ibrahim harvest Coconuts in the East Jungle. The family moved to a smaller apartment at Plateau Village, after the brothers moved out. Martina Ahmed is now 45, Ibrahim 46 and Yasmin is 16 years old.

Now 20 years old Majed Ahmed met 7 years older Jeanne at Popov Popin in 1988. Soon moving into her home at Cepero Main. She got pregnant and they married in 1989. Majed Ahmed works at Leone Families Coffee plantation in Cepero Village. Jeanne at Bounty Bay Tobacco at the foot of West Mountain Chain in Presidente Jakub District. Majeds brother Mikail Ahmed (18) also moved out to live with 13 years older Heike. His mother Martina is a bit worried about the prospect of grandchildren in that arrangement. They live in an apartment at Mountain Village, Mikail works at Leone Family Cocoa plantation outside Plateau Village. Heike at the old goldmine in Saint Mary's District.

Taka Family Sep.1990

Heinrich Taka lost his wife and four children in the 70’s. In 1979 he met his 2^nd wife Alexandra Taka and adopted her two children. Heinrich Taka lost some of the family fortune doing several unsuccessful investments, but today the family is doing better again. Heinrich still making a living growing and selling seafood products. Alexandra works at R. Johnsons Cotton Plantation right outside Cepero Town, she never finished her studies at President Smirnov’s School.

A little more than four years ago, not long after Alexandra lost her daughter Dea, she gave birth to their first shared child, Haruto. Heinrich daughter from his first marriage have moved out, but Alexandra two children still lives with the family in a large apartment at “The Tower” in “New Village”. Today Heinrich is 48, Alexandra 38, Carlos 14 and Haruto 4.

Heinrich’s daughter Tami Taka moved out in 1986, she could not deal with the grief in the family after her step sisters’ death. At first, she was drinking heavily living with the homeless in the shacks, but then she met Tommaso Barone who pick her up from the slum and she soon moved in with him. Today she is a truck driver at S/L shipping. They live in a small but modern apartment in the tower block next to The Spiritual Baptist Church. Being good friends with Nora Lewandowski who lives at the same floor.

Deaths in 1990

Norma Ciccone died from lung cancer 59 years old. Norma Ciccone was the 2nd wife of Adrián Ciccone, the son of Greta Navarro. Norma was the mother of Álvaro, Susana and Javier Weber from a previous marriage. She will leave behind her husband Adrián and her son Javier.

Vera Schubert the wife of and heir to Frank Schubert died 68 years old. She was the owner of Schubert Holdings. With the death of her husband in 1988, Vera brought now 41 years old Council Member Alba Van de Berg into the board of directors. Secretly Vera and Alba had a romantic relation only known to Alba’s husband 30 years old Finn Van de Berg who accepted his wife’s occasional attraction towards women. As a result, Vera Schubert bequeathed Schubert Holdings to the Van de Berg family, having no relatives of her own.

Catching a yellow fever infection in the jungle, Aurora Brissi died 63 years old. Aurora Brissi was quite well known, due to the fact that she was the woman behind the iron discoveries in the 60’s. Aurora Brissi was the daughter of Lorenzo Brissi and the last surviving member of his bloodline.
