Modding Issues - Akar Integration with roads

Hello! I am brand new to all of this, so please bear with me.

I am trying to mod SimCity 5 (or 2013, whatever it's called) in such a way that I can plop any kind of built-in building in the game (for example a high wealth low-density residential house) where ever, instead of just zoning for residential and hoping for the best.

So I found the RCI Plop All mod, and downloaded it.  So when I go to the government button, it shows all of the buildings, but they're not labeled at all, so I have no idea what density, or wealth level any of the buildings are.

Came across the Akar mod, and I love the UI improvements it brings, but unfortunately, since I installed it, I can no longer see any of the roads and as such cannot build any.

I've tried a few Mods, but unfortunately nothing works.  The SUGC mod breaks my game, and crashes the loading screen before I can even get into the game (because when I add the "SimCityUserData" folder as well as the "Packages" sub-folder, that's what somehow triggers the game to crash.

Like I said, all I want to do, is to be able to plop down whichever builds I want, where I want.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

This might not be what you'd like. I'm using this modpack without issue that I've noticed: 

I used to use Skyestorme's SkyePack 3.2 and that gave me camera zoom issues. I intended to zoom in using my mouse's scroll wheel and it was kind of zooming out...

Plus, this modpack is more up to date than SkyePack 3.2.


Fun fact: Buffalo sauce contains the entire DNA sequence of buffalo, so you can clone buffalo while eating buffalo wings with buffalo sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings in Buffalo, New York. I've never tried it, though.
