Hey friends!  I have recently downloaded a new region from the Maps and one by one, I'm having to go to each city tile (opening and saving, and going to the next), just to fill in the map instead of the default so the view of the region can be seen.  If that makes sense....

Is there a better way, instead of doing this one city at a time?

Nope. That's why I do it for the user with my maps. And to check for any problems. There are some mods that supposedly speed it up a little. Don't have the links though.

As Jack hinted towards, there is this mod which can help with the saving of tiles to update the region snapshots.

I've not personally used it since I tend to use the flora bast command to plant trees when creating a new region, so that means I have a reason to enter each tile anyway. Also while there to pause the tile, name (and establish) it, and toggle the UDI missions indicators off too (which can be a bit pesky otherwise).

For updating the region view appearance, it would certainly speed up the process if not wanting to enter the tiles before playing them.

I'm not really sure what you are asking? Are you talking about terraforming ?? or are you talking about refreshing the thumbnail??

Sometimes especially with the Large City tiles , it will not have a thumbnail when you save it where it will just appear blank. What I've found is holding the shift button seems to work sometimes.
