Hey there, so I'm using SC4Terraformer to add some regains to the game and I got it working thanks to:

So here is a minor issue and I hope there is a quick fix or cheat that can help me.

I'm using Terra former because I have height mod hanging out somewhere in my plugins folder that causes the built in method for SC4 to up the height by alot. SO, in comes the mapper.

Down side: See attachment.

Is there a way to load every region once and save so it can apply the normal textures automatically? I'm aware the sc4 mapper can apply textures but it might be tricky to get it to work due to all the mods related to ground and water textures I have.

If not I can do it manually, but it takes quite some time.

SC4Terraformer has nothing to do with terrain and water textures you may have in your plug-ins. It is merely an extra editor for altering terrain heights, consolidating tiles, extra landscaping, leveling and smoothing, etc. There are a few terrain textures, like Chihuahua that can alter map heights. Whatever you save in TF is what you'll see in game.

Hi @bluedragon012

The reason the rendered previews appear after using Mapper or Terraformer is due to the snapshot images aren't based on saving after loading the game. Since upon saving a tile it then takes a snapshot of what it looks like, to save that as individual PNG images (inside each saved city file). So as Jack hinted, what the mapping tools do is create a hybrid preview which is a placeholder. This means it's only a best guess preview based on the terrain data for how the landscape is formed.

Having said that...

There is a rendering mod however which can speed up the process:

I've not tried this personally, but it's reputed to do the job and be a timesaver. *;)

(As a side note, I've moved us over to the Mapping forum as the home of map related discussions.)
