Popup: "Sign in to use this application on this computer"

When starting SC4, I get a popup to enter my AppleID and password because "SimCity was purchased using the App Store on another computer."  This happens after installing the NAM39, industry multiplier, and radius doubler mods...then save a couple of cities in a region...then exit the game.  After entering the ID and password, I get the "app is damaged" popup and the game won't load.  I know Catalina update has been an overall problem/challenge...just curious if anyone else has had similar problems with the full version from the App Store.

Have you tried what the message tells you?, deleting and redownloading the game?

Bear in mind the AppStore version is in a container, when you add mods you modify that, which could cause a security flag to be raised by the OS. But I’ve not heard of this problem, which if Apple had once more moved the goalposts security wise, you’d expect it to have come up more generally. I wonder if there isn’t a security/permissions issue at play. But before messing with that, I’d just redownload the app. If you copy the data from Plugins beforehand, you should only need restore it to the new install thereafter. You don’t have to start everything over anew.
