Obviously, most people have Google Maps and know where to find it. This thread will compile lists of lesser-known map sites that have topographical information, geology, roads and rail lines. If you have a link, post it here.

Google Maps used to include 45-degree aerial photography in many populated areas, but removed that feature some years ago and replaced it with computer-generated 3d graphics.  Here is a link which restores access to the aerial photography.  I find the photography to be much higher in detail.
