Yup, Roxas has reached the ripe old age of 10! She's had a stroke and she's slowed down a bunch, but she's still going! Hard to believe I've had her for about 20% of my life.

    I can't believe it took me this long to realize this but...

    She's been far more keen on being pet now than ever. Sometimes she'll just run up and plop her head on the floor, meaning she wants pets. I always oblige. It finally dawned on me that she's no longer capable of scratching her head anymore. Of course she's itchy! She loves it when I use the fingernails.

    She died. Third stroke was too much for her.

    Not gonna lie... this one is wrecking me more than usual. She's been a part of my life for, by my calculation, around 22% of it. That's not a small figure. And now that figure will begin to shrink.

    Oh, that's so sad. I am sorry for your loss. I had a pet too and I know the feeling of being empty without it. Pets are more than just little companions. They're a big part of your life and loosing them is like loosing something from us. I'm sure that Roxas have had a beautiful life with you, and I guess it's those very special moments that matters the most right now. RIP, Roxas.

    Hi Zelgadis, I am so sorry to hear about Roxas. Pets are just like family, and losing them is both very hard and very sad. As Terring said, I am sure that Roxas had a beautiful life with you and she managed to live to a ripe old age, and you can take comfort in that knowledge.
