Possible to use different scales

Is it possible in the BAT to keep the grid lines in metric and use the US foot/inches on whatever I am making, like for a building?

In 3ds Max if your scene is in meters and you type in imperial units, it will convert them. So if you type 3' into the box it will convert it to 0.914m automatically.

You can also, while the units are set to meters, make a plane. Or you can go to Create>Helpers>Grid to make a grid object (although I always just make planes, out of habit). So it will be in meters and you can snap to it. Then you can go to Customize>Units Setup, and change the display units to US Standard, with various options. The "real" units of the scene are the system units, which you can also change in that window, but shouldn't, because they should be in meters. But you can make the display units what you'd like. When I modeled my Guardian Building BAT, I changed the display units because I was counting bricks to get dimensions, and bricks are 8" wide. And then later I switched the display units back to metric.
