Movies are awesome.

Any good games and music as well but a really good movie i don't have to do anything at all in and it's for both the ears and eyes to enjoy, sounds lazy but what?

We've developed the whole world now and time for a rest and enjoy our life's!

The amount of movies i've seen is so big at this point so if i am going to list all of my choices i would miss several because of my memory and it would be a too long list but a top ten choice i will try to list here but i will probably not be so correct with it and have to leave out several top notch one's as well.

Top 10 Choices of Toby's Gourmet Movies:

1. The Godfather trilogy

2. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest (called "Gökboet" in Sweden and it was an instant hit in this country).

3. Das Boot (about the German submarine crew during WW2).

4. The Usual Suspects

5. Cable Guy (I like most of Jim Carrey's movies because of his humor and rubber face. If i chose one of them i chose this one).

6. Alien 1, 2 and 4

7. Full Metal Jacket

8. Planes Trains & Automobiles

9. The Terminator 1 and 2

10. Poltergeist

Well it's just some i came to think of now when looking into my movie folder on my PC.

This list will have to do and just to post something here now and get some topic's going in the forum.

Blues Brother's and Andersonville as well hell! Andersonville is about the union prison camp during the American civil war and oh boy! It's a classic.

Those 2 movies is HIGHLY recommended by me and should WHEELY have gone into my top ten list, my bad!

Anything with Steve McQueen, John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Warren Oates, Ernest Borgnine, Kurt Russell, Clint Eastwood, James Coburn, Gene Hackman, Jean Reno, Jim Brown, Ben Johnson, Strother Martin, and Arnie in it. Even Brad Pitt, sometimes. Does that narrow it down for you?

I can't really put a list together in any order, I've seen quite a few movies and to be honest I think at least a few of them depend on what kind of mood I am in.  But here goes:

I love old Schwarzenegger movies, we're talking Commando, Predator, The Running Man, Terminator and Terminator 2, Total Recall, True Lies, Eraser.

I love Bond movies, and since it's Xmas season Mrs. NMUSpidey and I are watching them under the Xmas lights.  I'd probably put Dr. No, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, Goldeneye, and Skyfall at the top of my list, although I love them all.

I enjoy the MCU movies, although as they've become bigger and more successful (and taken over by mindless fanboys like Star Wars was) they've lost some of their luster with me.  Still, The Avengers is probably one of my favorite movies of all time, I loved it when I first saw it and each time I rewatch it it fills me with joy.

Ghibli deserves a mention on my list, I really quite love watching Tonari No Totoro and Omoide Poroporo.  I liked Kaze Tachinu, especially how the Chinese HATED it.

Speaking of China, poor Hong Kong.  They've made some movies I quite like in Hong Kong, like Legend Of The Drunken Master and Fist Of Legend.

I don't watch many dramas or love stories, so when I try to think of those I have a very limited list I'm choosing from.  I keep coming back to Good Will Hunting, I think that movie is great because even though I've only seen it once or twice it has stuck with me, unlike some of the MCU movies which I pretty much forget as soon as they're over (or try my best to forget like the godforsaken Civil War).  Good Will Hunting was great.  So was Shawshank Redemption, such a great movie that again, even thought I've only seen it once or twice it was very impactful.  American Beauty was great but I think its creepiness is what makes me remember it best.

And this list really could not be complete unless I mention Star Trek.  If I was forced to pinpoint a specific movie as my absolute all-time favorite I would probably go with Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, I distinctly remember watching it as a young boy and even now after decades I can still watch it and feel all those emotions, the surprise of the opening scene, dread at discovering whose living quarters Chekov had just walked into, excitement at those magnificent space battles between the Enterprise and the Reliant, and of course, sadness at the ending (even now I can make myself tear up just thinking about that part!)  Star Trek III and IV wrap up the trilogy and Star Trek VI is a great (and surprisingly low-budget!) space political commentary on the end of the Cold War whose message holds up even now.  Go and watch it, it's amazingly relevant no matter the era.

I'd like to point out that some Star Trek multi-part episodes, particularly DS9, would have worked on the big screen, like any of the season finales/season premiers involving the Klingons, and any of the multi-part Dominion War episodes (throughout seasons 6 and 7).  I'm kind of glad that these were done as TV shows, though, that means that we get to have more development over a longer period of time rather than seeing what we can cram into 2 hours or so where so much has to be sacrificed to the cutting room floor, although I know that you can end up with some filler sometimes, too.  Oh well.  This is my list.  For now.

Thanx for RLR, always wanted to see that, and I'm partial to action flicks with practical effects. Will re-watch Waterloo as Rod Steiger was much underrated. Zulu is not PC anymore, but still rates as one of my top 10 war films.
