You can get PEG's stuff in non-exe form right from the source at PEG Productions . You must register there to be able to download from the site.

Any body any Idea how to get the 'BSCBATProps Gascooker Vol 09 ' props, FileJucer doesn't extract any .prop files from the .exe?
I just get some jpgs and inflated .txt files 7.gif

His UK High St. Looks amazing, but without this I can't use it

I just ran Gascooker Props Vol. 9 through FileJuicer, and it worked fine, the file you need is BSCBATProps Gascooker Vol09.dat, in the dat folder.

Do you have version 3.8 or above of FileJuicer? Do you have Zip, Cab checked in the preferences/formats?

Can't think of anything else it would be...

Haven't tried that one personally, but I have found that all mods work on Macs the same as PCs (not that I've tried them all, but...). It's from the Modd Squad, they know what they're doing...

Give it a try, just back up your city, if there's a problem, just take it out of your plugins and reload the saved city if you need to.

JUST A NOTE RE: THE BSC MAC ARCHIVE, it will remain where it is, the .Mac account is bigger now, so I'm not having to pay extra to keep it. I still won't be updating it, since most people are using FileJuicer now with few problems, and I just don't have the time, but it will always be there

And obviously, I still check in here, so if anyone is having any problems with any BSC BATs/Lots, post here and let me know...

People who have upgraded to a New Intel Mac, should download and install DarWine this will enable you to use the Windows installers directly, without the guessing/confusion associated with using File Juicer.
(you also need X11 installed, which is one of the 'optional' items on the OSX installer disks that come with your Mac.)
    Example.

So you've done this? and it works with no problems?

My only concern would be that the .exe installers are programmed to install into PC folder paths (i.e., C:MyDocuments/.../Plugins), and they won't be able to translate to the proper Mac folder paths, thus I would expect the files to end up on the desktop, which is fine, they would just need to be placed in the proper plugin folders manually.

I read the FAQ at the DarWine site, seemed more like a beta than a finished product, but it's nearly all Greek to me. Any other info/details you can offer?

I am having problems getting newe regions into the game.

This is the first time I hahve really tried to import stuff and I am having a few problems. Are there any walkthroughs?

If not could someone tell me what to do? Do I need to download some other szoftware?

OK. I think this maybe the wrong thread, (and there probably is a walkthrough somewhere,) but it's simple enough, and I have a moment, so... You're talking about importing new downloaded maps for regions on a Mac right? Start the game and create a new region with the name you want it to be.. Quit the game and go the folder (Computer)/Users/*username*/Documents/SimCity 4/Regions/, You'll find a folder there in the name of your new region. Put your custom grayscale .jpg 'map' into that folder, and the .bmp configuration file, if it came with one. Restart the game, and while in your new region press Control + Option (or Alt)+ Shift+R. You will be presented with a window asking you to choose a file. Select the grayscale .jpg file you put in the Regions folder. Click 'Choose' then go and do something else while it renders. (It takes almost an hour on my cranky old beast.) That's it. No special software.

Have you tried the FileJuicer application mentioned earlier in this thread USA Patriot? It works for me. You sometimes get a few odd file names that include parts of the .exe process, which apparently isn't a problem and I usually rename them, but I've just opened the 'Install_CPT_....JeronidoggPloppableTrees.exe' and the required dependency file 'Install_BSC CP PropPack_Vol02.exe' in FileJuicer and got the required dat files, plainly labeled, no worries.

I'll try it again. I've done it before it it did not work. I tried to download cycledoggs "lush terrain" file, and it showed up as some random stuff. It was just text.

Welcome. Berlo, there is a free download for a thing called "FileJuicer" and you can make PC files be read and playable if you download those PC files and drag and drop them in file juicer. See if that helps.

Also, the cycledogg modds still don't work for me in filejuicer. :-/

I thought the FileJuicer only worked on Intel based Mac? Im not in such a hurry. There are still so many things that one can use.

Hey there Patriot. No good eh? Bummer. I'm not familiar with the 'Lush Terrain' file, and I couldn't find it on the stex to have a go myself. Maybe cycledogg can help you out. Come to think of it though, I did have one .exe file off the stex once that gave me nothing , ie Filejuicer found no files, but it was only the once.

Which mods/props are you having trouble with, specifically, because I just tried several with no problems...

Is FileJuicer working for you on other .exes from BSC?

Everything but the "Columbus Textures For Jeronijs Mod" worked for me, don't know what to tell you. Came out with the proper names, read me files, etc. Has FileJuicer worked for you before on other BATs/Lots, etc.?

I'll ask Cycledogg about the mod, nothing extracted from there, which is strange...

Same here kbooms1w. All the others worked fine for me too. Is your version of FileJuicer the latest USA Patriot? (Mine is 4.3) Is it a demo version? Maybe it's run out of time. Have you set the Preferences correctly? I set it to look for everything but png's. As for the 'Columbus Textures...', lets see what Cycledogg has to say. btw kbooms1w, thanks for the BSC Mac Archive. It's saved me a lot of mucking about over the last year or so. Cheers mon!

SWI21 vol 7 are on the 2 page of the STEX search for "swi21" and aren't in an .exe installer.

And the Mega Prop Pack unpacks fine with FileJuicer, the name comes out wrong, but the .dat is fine.

    Thank you for the reply.

I can't use File Juicer because the trial version has expired on my system, don't want ti buy it.

I've found it on the st-exchange, but viewing it in list-mode, with the orignal view of the the results it wasn't dislpayed!!! Maybe that it will be good to put this file on the bsc-mac-archive because it is a dependencie for Jeronij's trails parks.

No thank you, i've found what i need on the directly on the stex.

And now i've found the way to use always the trial version of filejuicer (i think i will buy it anyware it's a good piece of software!). Let me know if Jeronij's CWD now works for all, maybe i've missed to add some props needed as i wrote on the readme file.
