I've always wanted a good 'dirt road' mod, and this looks like it might be cool, however, I'm playing on a Mac. I don't have the 'Castle ramparts' or 'Stonehenge' dats as the 'Official' SC4 site doesn't recognise Mac serials, and I can't download from there. I get brown boxes on all the lots. Bummer eh?

Aah... Melbourne. Well, it's a little too cool for me in winter there, and it gets damn hot in summer. They don't play proper footy there either and the place is crawling with Aussies. Apart from that, it's brilliant mate. I've given you a nine.

Same here kbooms1w. All the others worked fine for me too. Is your version of FileJuicer the latest USA Patriot? (Mine is 4.3) Is it a demo version? Maybe it's run out of time. Have you set the Preferences correctly? I set it to look for everything but png's. As for the 'Columbus Textures...', lets see what Cycledogg has to say. btw kbooms1w, thanks for the BSC Mac Archive. It's saved me a lot of mucking about over the last year or so. Cheers mon!

Hey there Patriot. No good eh? Bummer. I'm not familiar with the 'Lush Terrain' file, and I couldn't find it on the stex to have a go myself. Maybe cycledogg can help you out. Come to think of it though, I did have one .exe file off the stex once that gave me nothing , ie Filejuicer found no files, but it was only the once.

Europe vs America vs Asia vs Oceania

Originally posted by: spikeydarren i think it's wrong that Africa is not included. I grew up in Cape Town, and it is a lovely place. Cape Town would have to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I have lived for a time in both Australia and the UK and have visited many more places, but I'm afraid there just 'aint no place like home. I prefer the urban sprawls of the 'colonies' over the high rise projects of Europe, Asia and Downtown North America. I want a lawn in my yard with room for the kids to play, and I need to smell the Pacific. If I couldn't live in New Zealand, I'd opt for Tonga or Samoa, Australia or California if I wanted to live in a city. -
Originally posted by: USA Patriot This is a great thread with downloads.Anywhere we Mac users can get Cycledoggs tree mods and stuff for Mac? He does everything in exe.quote> Have you tried the FileJuicer application mentioned earlier in this thread USA Patriot? It works for me. You sometimes get a few odd file names that include parts of the .exe process, which apparently isn't a problem and I usually rename them, but I've just opened the 'Install_CPT_....JeronidoggPloppableTrees.exe' and the required dependency file 'Install_BSC CP PropPack_Vol02.exe' in FileJuicer and got the required dat files, plainly labeled, no worries.

Originally posted by: pricemazda I am having problems getting newe regions into the game. This is the first time I hahve really tried to import stuff and I am having a few problems. Are there any walkthroughs? If not could someone tell me what to do? Do I need to download some other szoftware?quote> OK. I think this maybe the wrong thread, (and there probably is a walkthrough somewhere,) but it's simple enough, and I have a moment, so... You're talking about importing new downloaded maps for regions on a Mac right? Start the game and create a new region with the name you want it to be.. Quit the game and go the folder (Computer)/Users/*username*/Documents/SimCity 4/Regions/, You'll find a folder there in the name of your new region. Put your custom grayscale .jpg 'map' into that folder, and the .bmp configuration file, if it came with one. Restart the game, and while in your new region press Control + Option (or Alt)+ Shift+R. You will be presented with a window asking you to choose a file. Select the grayscale .jpg file you put in the Regions folder. Click 'Choose' then go and do something else while it renders. (It takes almost an hour on my cranky old beast.) That's it. No special software.
