right ok... i have nam but i cant seem to find the tramway/glr button.

i cant seem to figure out how to law tramways and glr tiles. is there a button like the normal rail, or is it one of thoes tab jobs whereyou have to cylce through options?

 

please i would be truely greatful for any help.

The Ground Light Railway Puzzle pieces work as if you were plopping a lot. You will have to use the 'Tab' button to search through it. I'd be happy if it had been the same like normal rail, only if some one would make it.

Ground Light Rail (GLR) button can be found in the Miscellenious (can't spell) Transit Menu. If they're not there, you need to uninstall NAM, make sure you don't have any conflicting GLR files (NAM includes the GLR, so if you downloaded a GLR mod from somewhere else you need to delete that), and then redownload and reinstall NAM. make sure the GLR option is selected when you reinstall it.

i have delux. i have all the puzzle pieces for every network over glr, but no glr by it self.

ty every one i  fixed it, i deleted all mods that had anything to do with transport and deleted and reinstalled nam. it works now.

 

the only problem now is ........... i dont know anything about how to get the trams. do they 'appear' on random streets when you have a tram station?

 

do they replace busses/ use bus stations?

 

do they require a special tram tile?

The NAM does not include any lots. You need stations on the GLR before you can see the trains. The trains are the same as the elevated rail and subway trains.

To complete your GLR, download a few GLR stations from the STEX if you have not done so already.

Be sure you have read about the known problem with puzzle pieces in general. Save often. You will crash your game to the desk top simply by dragging your cursor loaded with a puzzle piece over any transit enabled lot. This is a bug in the invariant part of the exe, so we are not allowed to fool with it.

thanks for the advice, i just had teh game crash on me when i tried to placa glr station. and again when i 'hovered' the mouse over a tram station.

Is that GLR-crash not fixed yet? That's why I am not using the GLR option in my gameplay... I hate it when I have to start over when I want to use the GLR...

Believe me, I like the GLR, but I may hope someday that the crash can be fixed somehow
