I really wonder how much confusion and spamming would we have if we had a Anyone from whoknowswhere? thread for every country city and region in the world. 3.gif

Yes, members of Simtropolis are also Poles. I think I can safely say we have members (active or not) from every country in the world, except for those with limited internet access (North Korea, etc.), very small size (the Vatican, etc.) or just plain undeveloped (Sierra Leone, etc.). 1.gif

There are quite a few polish people in Thunder Bay, we attract people from that part of the world I guess. Probably the similar geography.

Well, I didn't say it's bad, just a bit pointless. But I guess it's alrite. I just don't want to see a thread for all the 150+ countries in the world..

The Vatican eh. Are you sure the pope isn't a member ? I bet he loves building the church all over his cities. And btw he is from poland too so he should reply to this.

The highway (autostrada) is a rather new thing there (in the south at least). Of course you'll encounter provincial roads - you most likely encountered one of those roads with one lane going both directions, along with a half-lane on the sides. Honestly, the only way to travel safely there is either by train, or a chartered bus. Driving in Poland is rather stupid, in my opinion (especially if you're a trucker).

I recommend really planning ahead before you visit Poland. If you don't, you'll mostly end up viewing communist relics such as those apartment blocks that are everywhere, and those delapidated farms everywhere else.

Poland is on my list of places to go before I die, along with Israel and Kodiak Island. Who is going to show me around when I get there?

Wow! I'm so glad to see a lot of Polish people here!

I'm Polish from my mom's side. I'm 3rd generation American, but my great-grandparents came from Poland during WW1.

It is still debate in my family whether we are Polish or Polish-Jew.

My mom's madden name is Kowalski... can't get any more Polish than 'ski'.
