Hello, I am starting a new thread covering the third attempt to construct a replica accurate as possible, of the Athens Olympic Satdium. Well, I did my best to find a topic that would match it, but the third edition is quite independent from the first and second editions.

Ok, A few days ago, Voar Tok asked me:

I have a question though. Since you are taking over for Athens2004, are you going to be restarting the Olypmic stadium work or just going to continue where he left off?

The answer would be, that I would like to continue the second attempt, but it is about the quality of the details. He had a good try, though, so has giorgos69 and JEC. I am currently using a new method of constructing the stadium, where I actually start with the body of the structure as it was prior to the 2002 renovation. Then I would add the roof later, which was part of the 2002 renovation.

There are going to be some differences to this edition. First, it will not require external dependancies by other users, which can make things slightly easier. Since the Athens Olympic Stadium Third Edition props would be released seperately, that download would be the only dependancy. And it would of course, be all self-made, by me.

Some exemplars may be carried forward to this third edition. For example, it may cost the same (

Your pictures aren't working properly. So you are redoing the entire stadium? Are you going to create other olympic buildings from that complex? I am looking forward to following this.

!!!!!!!! What a big project !!!!!!! Good luck with this one, you have a great start on it!

As for the flags, I don't know what look that you're after with them, but if you have any problems with those, I have a bit of experience with non-animated flags. So feel free to ask.

Well, I simply used flattened boxes and turned it 90 degrees, then I then add the 'Edit Mesh' modifier, then distorted it.

So it looks like that planes are a bit one-sided. Well, I now know about it. 1.gif

Everyone's welcome to ask me for help on non-animated flags, too.
