Is there a way to restore Cities: Skyline to it's original fresh state like the first time you ever launched it and there was no data whatsoever of anything on the Steam cloud and your computer?

I have no backup files.

Well if you add the command lines to the launch startup you can disable mods and steam workshop items.

I can't remember how to do it off the top of my head but I found it by googling Cities Skylines command prompts.

Hope this helps

Cheers

James

I have no backup files.

Not sure what you want to do exactly or why.  Maybe explain what you are trying to do before you lose everything or make things worse.

If you want to remove mods/assets just go to the steam workshop from within steam and unsubscribe to all of them.

You can remove the game by uninstalling it.  make sure to remove Colossal order from your user folder/appdata/local (contains saved files so be careful.) remove Cities: Skylines from program files (x86) of your boot drive (usually C:) usually under steam/steamapps/common/cities_skylines

You can even uninstall all of steam. remove all the steam folder from program files (x86) on your boot disk.

This is the reason why. https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/68607-sewage-color-problems/

And uninstalling and reinstalling the game will do nothing. All the data will still be saved through the steam cloud.

This sounds like a mod issue, not a game issue.  Uninstall all of your mods and assets and it should go back to normal.  Then add them back one at a time.

All of your water intake pumps should be upstream anyway and should not be an issue.  But I know, it would be nice if it worked properly.

But some mods break saves and may be required like traffic ++.  If you save your game with traffic++ installed, you will always need traffic++ enabled for it to load properly.  Hopefully you have auto save on to go back to an old save or you manually save your game once in a while.

but once it's in your save file, there is not much you can do about it.  Check the modding forums for better help, maybe the author knows a workaround or something as this is a mod problem, not a game issue.

I have done everything you've recommended. I've unsubscribed to my mods, assets, maps, color corrections, deleted my save games, deleted the folders with all the Cities Skyline data... and nothing. The problem still persists. Any other ideas? :(

    See your other thread.

This thread doesn't apply to your issue.

? I responded to your advice... And I'm asking you if you have any other ideas because what you recommended did not help.

Also I do not have an issue in this thread. I'm just asking if there is a "way to restore Cities: Skyline to it's original fresh state like the first time you ever launched it and there was no data whatsoever of anything on the Steam cloud and your computer?"

I thought you wanted to do these things because of the water issue.

I know there is a link somewhere on uninstalling completely everything.  For the workshop, you'll need to only unsubscribe to mods and assets and delete your saved games from the content menu.

For extra security you can delete the CO folders in appdata and program files (x86) in steam folder as stated above.

but none of this will affect your water issue.  This will only reset the game itself.  But you will lose all of your saved games unless you backed them up manually.

Also, you stated your problem still persists after doing the things I already mentioned, but you didn't say what the problem was if it wasn't the water issue.

I do want to restore Cities Skylines to its original state because of the water issue.

I'm currently trying to delete my data from the Steam Cloud so I hope the issue will be resolved when I am done.

This is what I am using as my guide to delete my Cities: Skylines data from the Steam Cloud. https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/102694/is-there-a-quick-way-to-delete-saves-off-of-the-steam-cloud/102705#102705
