Ghosts: Yes, I saw my grandpa's ghost several times when I was staying at my dads, back in February, and didn't go upstairs to the computer for weeks, and after that, had a lamp on the whole time sure, it could have been my mind playing tricks, but it's cool to think it was a ghost, eh?
Aliens: Yes. But mine are differn't
Heaven/Hell: No.
Reincarnation: I'm Elvis! (yup)
God: No, and if he does exist, he's a !@#$%$#
Parallel Universes: I guess so.. Don't really care much tho
Government Conspiracies: Trudeau and Castro had a thing back in the 80's We just havent been told yet

According to me, aliens would exists, but not all of them would be bad. They might be exploring the universe like what we humans do!

Well yes, politically. But in religion, of course, not.

Suggested by Hindus, but in my opinion, make the most of now, I wouldn't suggest that to be real.

In my opinion, the answer's straight: no.

Parallel Universes wouldn't be existent in my opinion, the universe is just one big infinite space, I guess.

The USSR and the US did that in the past, notably the Watergate Scandal and MP Edwina Currie's salmonella allegations into the safety of the eggs in the late 80's.

Of course I believe in ghost.  I have seen to much in my own home not to.  The spirit I have seen the most is this old one arm man in a Union Solders uniform.  One arm is missing and I smell burnt flesh everytime I see him.

Cool Truckin_Papa, that is a quite good bedtime story (for those that like this kind of story before bed), well, i don't believe in ghosts that take a real form, but some kind of energy that stays behind that can affect the surrounding objects. Shure, why not, it's like the candles in some marshes, methane produced by decomposing organic matter that light up, that could be considered a ghost. They (candles) hold an important significance in many religions, and in a way, it's the manifesting in the real world, and isn't that the broad definition of ghost?

 

I think that ghosts that appear in front of people in specific shapes are figment of imagination, in most stories, the character is often edgy and slightly scared... and tierd, might be their subconcious playing tricks on themselves, and the fact that the same ghost patrolls the same area migh be that the stories that get passed on influence the subconcious in making these specific images

Ghosts: For me, there possibly is or its just plain fortune.  There's been alot of strange things happening around my life - some controlled by what it seems like a supernatural being watching me.  If I do something really bad against everyones wishes, this being will tell me plain and simple that im doing something wrong by delivering a powerful message.  For example, I used to be one of those boy racers late at night speeding at horrific speeds, until firstly I was finally stopped, then, when I hadn't learned my lesson I got involved with an accident.  Something is protecting me, and I beleive its a passed member of my family.

Aliens: Yes, all my signs point to this answer plain & simple.  If science states we evolved from luck and our planet being perfect, and there are trillions of stars out there... There has to be at least one star that has a planet like ours with intelligent (Or close to human) life on it.  And if releigon states that the almighty created Earth, wouldn't he have been bored of us by now?

Heaven/Hell: For everyone there is, but I think it is based on beleif - you make your own heaven & your own hell.  Should you think it is right to torture people, then you will live in the afterlife torturing to your heart's content.  Should you enjoy being with your family, you'll live these moments with your family on & on.  Should you thoroughly enjoy the pleasures of being young, attractive and single, this is what you'd do in your heaven.  Should your religion state that you will be punished for sinning, then, in the afterlife your religion will act and do what you beleived will do to you.

Reincarnation: Yes, but we have a choice in my beleif - there comes a time in a person's life that makes them wonder if you were someone else, could it be different? In my respect I think reencarnation is up to the person, it brings the whole matter of reproduction into focus - you breed, your soul lives forever, so, you can rencarnate so long as your blood line runs on & on.  Should your blood seace to exist, then, I beleive you can start over with your soul, and try again.

God: Yes, but he isnt as controlling as people beleive with me.  I think god built a code to how things would grow to a certain point, then, with the life sustaining itself, he let it be free and move on.  In my personal opinion he's still working with us, cleaning us up and helping us reach that goal of sustaining our own race without threat of total annilaition.  Should god have made a serious mistake, and his life is suffering instead of working towards prosperity, he will wipe them out and rebuild them, removing the error.

Parallel Universes: No, but I beleive some where in the Universe, there's millions of repliclas of our area of the Universe, all like paralell universes but accessible by simply travelling there on the same dimension.

Secret Government Conspiracies: There is has-to-have-been-there thing, whether it be insignificant like keeping the releif trucks behind for helping the Katrina survivors becuase fuel prices were too high to the higher end of the scale where the Government is hiding pictures and even objects recovered from an intelligent race, and the obvious fact that fuel-efficient engines won't reach higher production becuase the Oil Market feels that it will loose alot of profit.

Aliens: Yes. My theory goes along with Nealos101. If God is a 1337 guy who can do whatever he wants, I think eventually he'd want to make a planet in the corner of the universe where people all have an arm growing out of their chests or something else like that. He'd probably be bored of us by now.

Reincarnation: Not really. I believe in us all reincarnating in heaven/hell.

Interesting - this happens to be a theme of my CJ. Right now I live in a 62-year-old house that is definitely not haunted. This despite the fact that someone was shot on the front steps (but didn't die), there is a strange walled-up area in the basement (which we affectionately call the Jimmy Hoffa Room), and we've found strange bones in the basement (possibly a large animal). On the other hand, I once lived in a rather modern apartment that was ridiculously haunted and creepy as heck. And I spent a miserable night on the Queen Mary I at Halloween once. I think it's not so much the haunting itself as much as how well you personally can relate to the echoes of some horrifc event.

So for the rest:

 

Ghosts: As I said above, I think that under the right circumstances the right people can become sensitive to paranormal events.

 

Aliens: Yes, but I don't think we've run across them yet.

 

Heaven/Hell: Maybe.

 

Reincarnation: Yes, though a palm reader once told me this is my first life and I quite believe that.

 

God: Yes.

Secret government conspiracies: Ugh. The U.S. government is not that smart, believe me.

Ghosts: Yes, in a sense (They are not dead people who came back, they are remains of an extremely emotional event of a person being reinacted, be it positive (good spirit) or negative (evil spitit)
Aliens: Definately, though our chances of ever finding another form of intelligent life are extremely low.
Heaven/Hell: No. Concept was most likely thought up by early kings as a means to better control the masses (an early form of propaganda. Telling people they would be tortured forever if they were bad must have come in handy.)

Parallel Universes: Yes, but again the odds of us ever entering one are extremely low.

Really my first OT post, but very interesting to respond to:

Ghosts: YES!
Aliens: Yes
Heaven/Hell: yes
Reincarnation: Maybe
God: Yes
Parallel Universes: maybe
Government Conspiracies: A few, but not all of them.

But on the ghost subject I feel that I have a good reason to believe in them based on my own (sometimes downright creepy) experiences.

My grandmother died when I was 4, but I remember she used to play tricks on people by tapping them on the shoulders, then running away. I sometimes feel like someone is tapping me on the shoulder when NO ONE is around. My mom and aunt feel it, and my cousins that were around when she was alive do too. My brother and cousins that were born after she died do not feel it.

Another thing is that I can sense that there are ghosts around. I didn't really think about it much, as it is just a kind of uncomfortable feeling like someone is around when nobody is. I thought it was all in my head (maybe it is?). Although I get creeped out by it, I can tell if its good or bad (or just an annoying) ghost by the vibes I feel about the situation.

However once a Native American friend of mine who says she can see ghosts. I always felt there was another person in my house and that this person felt sad. My friend said it was a very very depressed and shy girl. She told me to talk to her and make her feel safe. So I did, and my friend said that she would show herself to me. Before that though, I would ask my friend if the ghost was standing anywhere in particular. I was right about where I guessed and then the ghost showed herself!

What it looked like a mirage. It looked like a whispy, wavy silhouette of a person, then quickly faded. It was, totally weird.

I've found other things too. I was in the basement of a downtown dance club and felt like I had to get the heck out of there. Something was just weird and not right, and it was the feeling I had like a ghost was around. I got out of there and felt a little better. Getting out of the building felt a lot better. I later found out that there was a bank vault there and the building had flooded in the late 1800's or sometime. People had drown down there trying to loot or save the money in the vault (depending on the retelling of the story).

So I have concluded that ghosts exist, although this probably isn't enough for skeptics. If I find that this is a psychological thing, then that will change my opinion. Unfortuneately I don't have any evidence of that.

Ha, its funny how much the theme of this thread has changed its tone! But here are my two sence:

Ghosts: Um, no. I think that there are many things we don't know about, but all I think are contained within the mind.

Aliens: Oh course, the universe is infinate so there has to be. But we will never meet them, thats not really possible.

Heaven/Hell: No

Reincarnation: Nah, don't think so, the number of people and animals rise and fall so it doesn't really make sence. I don't think it fits

God: No way.

Parallel universes: Well, acording to the laws of probibility if the universe is infinate then eventually the same patter will form again, so I guess yes. But then, they would be so mind bogglingly far away that they in no way affect anything which has anything to do with us, so in a way they might as well not exist.

Secret government conspiracies: Well, I think every single government lies and deceaves, and sometimes they go a bit too far, I guess that counts as a conspiracy. Particulary the ones with bush and oil money, and arab billionaires. If you count those as conspiracies then definately!

Of course! there are tons of things in this world that we as humans cannot and will not ever understand or be able to believe.

Ghosts: yes

Aliens: i believe in intellegent life on other planets, just not the ET, world invading kind. if aliens were to have the technology to get to earth, they would not need labor or materials as they would have plenty of both (I.E. Robots and Alchemy... and yes alchemy is real. Scientists have recently been able to change the number of protons and neutrons in atoms to change hydrogen into nitrogen and vice versa. with future technologies, lead to gold may even be possible.)

Heaven/Hell: No. I don't see how these could exist... thats just my belief... don't flame me...

Reincanrnation: Not for everyone. i do believe it happens to a few people, but not to everyone.

Paralell Universes: I believe there are, except each one is just like the other except one second ahead or behind the last.

God: Yes, but not in the sense of all powerfull, all knowing. i believe that the god position works kind of like a government, where there is one ruler who takes advice from advisors. he also would probably have to depend on workers to do the world changing for him.

Secret Gov. Conspiracies: Of course... i just don't think that everything is a conspiracy. there are some pretty evil things the government is and always has been doing.

Reincarnation is very possible and I think hell is being traped in a bug or some ignorant animal....

 

No heaven could be being human although some times being human can be its own living hell....
