Ok before I go any further, I don't really class this as modding, more of asset assistance. So yes I "know" they are just paths in asset manager but for those that wanted something quick and easy to make taxiways with I hope they are useful. They've made airport building for me alot faster anyway

 

 

So I've been asked over on Steam/Reddit among others how I've built my taxiways for my airports and as most know this is done with pathways (until someone can get us something better).

 

As a result here is the collection of assets I've been using that I call my "Modular Taxiways". I hope someone may find them useful. And again I appreciate these are just paths and nothing more.

 

Can be placed anywhere on ground

No costs other than small fee to lay them

No requirements, workers, rubbish etc. basically scenic additions for airport creation.

Also added an ingame menu icon for them (its the same for all of them, but at least its an icon)

All are built as 16x8 format so allows lining up to be quick and clean.

    Updated the title to show the fact I've diverged just from the Modular taxiways and have been outputting some other Assets:-

    Distribution Centres shown above, all avaliable on Steam. Presently working on somemore Industrial units that should be done in the next day or so. Theres also the KLM cargo centre in Steam and also my Modular Runways

    Released before the patch and will await till after it to see what changes before editing further

    Yayy, back from Hols and time to get back into it :)

    Great thing about the holiday was I passed through a few airports so got some fresh ideas for things to add in :)

    I understand you... after some time working on buildings my eyes begin to hurt and I'm not sure I'm doing any good... this is when you begin making mistakes, mistakes that will make you work even longer :party:

    Hehe Indeed keeping us all in check ;)

    Got the A+C building Lod down to 266 Tri's & the B+D down to 198, so just need to check them out tonight ingame and I'll amend them.

    FedEx Pack - updated LOD's

    Large KLM Hanger - NO plane - Reduced LOD texture

    Large Bus Station - Reduced LOD texture.

     

    Going to release another Modular pack tonight (TNT or DHL am yet to make my mind up) and then am going to sort through my older assets and clean up Tri's/Lods on them all aswell as some of the textures (My Airport light has 1024x1024 also so I really need to stop being lazy with my textures for lods)

     

    ***Airport Light updated, was too ashamed to leave it a 1024x1024 for any longer ;) Now is a nice 64x64 ***

    Already subscribed! I avoided the other cargo terminals because I didn't want to subscribe to so many individual props. So thanks!

    DHL pack released today (actually overnight but had to hide it due to a prop dissapearing issue). This one has a further reduced LOD model for both buildings that brings them both under the "advised" 200 limit.

    Applied the LOD update to the KLM pack to reduce the load on people.

    Now I've worked out how to do it all properly I'll likely go a similar route with most of my modular stuff as a) it causes less clutter in the workshop, b) Avoids the masses of subscribing needed to do it (and future unsubbing if required) and all essentially for a 5-10 minutes etc if my time (which is negated by the savings in the longer term anyway)
